Anxiety meds

Female 44, recently diagnosed 6/17 with A Fib and a CHADS score of 2. Since diagnosis I’ve had severe anxiety. Spoke with my Cardiologist office. Doctor will not prescribe anxiety meds. (Maybe for good reason)
Looking for other members who may be on anxiety meds and how it has impacted your A Fib, as well as those who have found ways to calm themselves down.
I’ve started taking Magnesium Glycinate to help reduce some anxiety and have been doing box breathing. However, as a catastrophizer whose biggest fear is death, I can’t keep myself from spiraling. I also know the stress on my heart from the anxiety is not good.
I’m doing my absolute best to stay on the brighter side of things, but I continue to fail.
Any insight, or just kind words are greatly appreciated.

Recently diagnosed with A FIB F44

I was diagnosed in June with A FIB after wearing a Holter monitor for 14 days. Since, being diagnosed I've been hyper aware of my heart and the little things (twinges, aches, extra beats and palpitations) that occur. This has lead major anxiety, especially at bed time.

As a person who is new to this, the forum, and all the acronyms, is this all normal?

When does the anxiety subside, and can I be confident in my health care professionals?

Past Sinex user seeking insight

As the title states, past Sinex user. I’m looking for others who may have experienced some of my symptoms, or can rule out my symptoms.

I have the worse phlegm. Like, constant never ending phlegm. It ranges in color, but typically yellow with some gray/green and clear once I’ve got most of it up from overnight sleep. I’ve also been experiencing constant shortness of breath. Started one day out of the blue, hasn’t budged in 4 months. Steroids nor antibiotics have helped. Accompanied by all that is tightness in my chest and heart palpitations.

My doctor has chalked all this up to asthma and has scheduled a pulmonary function test.

Can anyone offer any insight?
