How long?

Hi everyone! Just a quick question! How long did it take for your I-140 case to appear online or to get a receipt notice after USCIS billed your account? I submitted last week and got billed this morning. Thank you.

Should I be worried

Hi guys! The DoS sent a Favourable recommendation on my J1 waiver USCIS at the end of April. I later got a receipt notice from USCIS on May 2, 2026. There haven't been any other updates since then. Should I be worried since I am from one of the 75 countries? Does anyone have a similar experience?! Thank you.

Current fees

Hi! My i-140 petition was returned by USCIS for not selecting the right processing fees (regular and premium). Did anyone file recently? How much was it? Can I still send back the same package with the right fees? Thank you.

Hi friends! I need your honest advice. I am a 5th year postdoc at a top US university, recently (03/11) applied for J1 waiver based on NOS...my J1 limit is in October. I received a letter from the Department of States today confirming that they sent a favourable recommendation (Approve waiver) to USCIS. My university is eager to start the h1b petition once USCIS approves. Do you think I stand a chance to get the J1 waiver (from one of the 75 restricted countries)? Secondly, I want to submit my i-140 petition. Do you think it will affect the success of my h1b petition? Another concern, I travel home every December so I can see my family, I am uncertain of what awaits me considering that h1b hasn't been filed. Kindly give me your honest thoughts. Thank you.
