Hi all! I want to take my family the watch the Perseid Meteor shower late tomorrow night Aug 12th and early morning August 13th. My issue is I have no idea where to go. My plan would be to drive somewhere, park, get out some pop up chairs, watch and then head home afterwards. Whenever I try to look up places I'm only finding recommendations for overnight camping or parks that would already be closed at dusk. Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in South Tacoma.

Hi all! Can anyone tell me if there are any good 4th of July events or fireworks displays within 3 hours of Tacoma? I took my family to the Tacoma Summer Blast last year and we were not impressed. Even my 6 year old didn't like it. I've been trying to research other options for this year but I don't want to be bamboozled by marketing like I was last year. 😅 Any guidance is appreciated!

I was wondering if there are any hobby groups that involve parents and kids? I'm trying to give my child the opportunity to socialize outside of school, while also spending quality time together. We haven't had a lot of luck with local youth sports, so I was hoping there might be other options? For example, years ago I lived in an area with a parent and child hiking group. Obviously, the hikes were family friendly. But I thought it was a nice concept. An outdoor group like that would be great, but we're 100% open to indoor hobbies as well. If there isn't anything like that out here I am also open to other suggestions. Thanks!
