Cannot believe I watched Joe have a better accuracy with sleep powder than my heat wave 😭😭

Insane tournament, love getting back into Pokemon a decade later and it being this fun. Trying some new things with some of these so let me know how you like them or if you have any other suggestions! My friends did watch me furiously edit and finish these while at dinner since I prepped most of it beforehand so there may be some slight formatting issues 😅 but overall I think they are good!

Next time you hear from me will be when I drop my showdown-replay-creator-takeover-play-again-training-make-replay-from-scratch-fun-practice tool. Exciting times before Vegas!

[Event] Louisville Day 1/2 Usage, Comparisons, & Weird Pick Graphics!

Louisville was suuuuuuper fun even though I've never experienced more unlucky games (Kommo-o getting ripped through setup, back to back paras and crits, confusion/hitting myself....) but while I wait to get get Korean BBQ I've made the event graphics!

Some really wild teams this time so hard to pick the weird ones fully (especially day 1 teams that almost day 2'd...) but super interesting meta shifts. I'm thinking of expanding the comparisons to the other events card to way more since we now have a lot of info, most likely will have those come with the top cut / final graphics. Congrats to all day 2ers and everyone who played! Good luck tomorrow, I'll be watching while at the Cup 🖖

Follow me on twitter (https://x.com/seantazzik/status/2109048131337760942?s=46) to catch these and more, and checkout the tournament page (https://vgchistory.com/tournaments/regional-louisville-2027) on VGCHistory where I've added a new watchlist feature so you can make your own list of players to filter to and check their standings/pairings during the day!

[Event] Frankfurt Championship Graphic

Flawless victory from Eric Rios! I expect to see more Garchomp Z and Raichu Y now for sure, especially teams building more counter to Raichu. You can see more info, team sheets, and stats at https://vgchistory.com/tournaments/regional-frankfurt-2027 and more graphics and other stuff on my twitter. Super happy with recent updates to the sites tournament pages so let me know if you have any issues or suggestions!

[Event] Baltimore Top Cut Stats and Teams

Some quick info from top cut here at Baltimore. You can check out the team pastes on https://vgchistory.com/tournaments/regional-baltimore-2027 and once the tournament is over things will get ingested for final standings.

I had fun here going 5-3 and overslept for the cup today working on the website last night haha, shout out to everyone who competed and I talked to!

VGCHistory.com has been taken over by the 2026 Pokemon World Championships Event!

I posted on here a few weeks ago about a new website I made; and today I updated it for Worlds! There's a ton of cool stuff, like custom pages for each qualified competitor (https://vgchistory.com/road/wolfe-glick-us), a new home page, social share cards for everyone, and more. Super happy with how it turned out!

Here's my twitter if you want to get in contact: https://x.com/SeanTazzik/status/2090991332244193421

The website also has some really cool people helping out with getting data, and we are committed to having a massive amount of tournaments that are much harder to source (pre-2012, JCS, Korean Nationals, etc). thanks to the help. Check out the worlds takeover and let me know if there are any issues or suggestions!

I made VGCHistory.com to track every official event and the data associated with them

I made a new website VGCHistory.com to act as a record book of all the competitive pokemon tournaments. There's a ton of cool features, like career tracking, pokemon/items/moves info, etc. It's automated so when a new tournament is going on it will look a bit different then afterwards fully ingest everything it hasn't already.

Would love to get feedback on areas of improvement or other cool features that could be added! Right now it only has masters data and is lacking a few tournaments I know existed. I was sent in a lot of tournament data to ingest so I should have more foreign ones like Korean Nationals in soon, and over the weekend all junior and senior data will be added!
