16 years ago I got a Coach bag to celebrate a career milestone

11 years ago I joyfully took an opportunity to stay home with our kids full time…and put my few nice bags in the back of the closet

6 months ago I stumbled onto r/handbags and loved seeing what bags made everyone’s hearts happy. I realized that I hadn’t been using my nice bags because I subconsciously didn’t think my current role of mama was worthy of a Coach bag that was tied to a career I don’t have anymore…which is insane because if anyone else had said that, I would have told them that was crazy. But it can be hard to recognize my own blind spots and insecurities.

2 weeks ago I busted out this almost-vintage bag and have loved using it again

Huge thanks to the ladies and gentlemen in this group for saying it’s ok to actually USE the pretty bags! It was encouragement I didn’t know I needed.
