Asus Zenbook A16

Picked up the Asus Zenbook A16 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme processor, 3K 120Hz OLED display, 48GB RAM, 1TB SSD storage, and an 80 TOPS NPU for 1400$ today (MSRP is 1800$ for the 512gb version). I have been looking for weeks for this to go on sale and managed to grab this as a excellent open box from best buy dealopen-box deal from Best Buy. When I arrived everything came in the ASUS box like it has never been touched. Started it up at the geek squad desk, signed into windows and everything checks out. The AC power cable still had the cap telling me it has never even been plugged in before.

So my question is did I get a absolute steal or is there a reason it was returened. Any advice on concerns, bloatware or setting up the new Asus Zenbook A16.

Thanks!

Brothers and sisters im sorry for your pain.

It is absolutely wild what PC prices and component costs have become nowadays. We are living in dark times, brothers. A man can no longer walk into a store and emerge with a GPU without sacrificing a kidney, his firstborn, and half his paycheck to the silicon gods.

So truly, I wish you the best of luck on your journey. May your frames be high, your temps be low, and may you somehow obtain the raw computational power necessary to satisfy your gaming and PC performance dreams in this cursed era of inflation and AI-fueled madness.

I swear, I have never seen so much struggle, debate, coping, bargaining, and civil war over “good deals” and GPU pricing as I have in this subreddit. Every post feels like survivors trading supplies in a post-apocalyptic wasteland “Brother… where did you find the DDR5 32 GB RAM kit at MSRP?”

Meanwhile, before the great AI uprising and silicon famine, I was blessed by the PC gods themselves. I managed to snag a prebuilt with an RTX 5080, 32GB DDR5, and a Ryzen 9 for only $1800. Looking back now, I know how lucky I am to have my silicon addiction satisfied for such a small price.

Stand tall brothers. They will not break us!

1995 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner

Looking at getting 95 Tacoma. I talked him down to 3.5k for it, it has 165k miles on it. No major issues just needs TLC. What do you think worth it?
