200pts game of VIP, Spartans vs Brutes.

A departure from my usual ODST sqaud, and god damn are Spartans bonkers. Super fast, durable, with good stats. The Deadeye was the MVP, killed at least six brutes across the game, while the Zvezda, mk7 and brawler fought endless waves of Brute captains.

I the end, was 4-2 to the Spartans by turn 5.

Since the games debut in 2016, I've longed to play,and now, I have had my first game of halo GC.

1500pts of unsc vs covenant.

2531, The world of Tau Ohcai was lost, the Covenant fleet was glassing the planet, the unsc navy had been shattered, but there was one thing left.

In the world's northern pole was a research station, an out of the way backwater that contained sensative navigational data that could lead the covenant to other world's. HIGHCOM ordered the sites destruction and the data deleted, but there no ships, a hasty battlegroup was formed under Cap. Cleave to secure the site and evac, but whatever the cost, the covenant could not be allowed to secure the site.

Field Marshal Tamusee' knew of the site and understood immediately it's significance, he dispatched the group of Valient Faith to secure the human data that would light his path along the great jounry.

So, was an awesome game. It opened with scorpions voice blasting away a ghost scout and the covanent being woefully out of place to return fire. The Spartan 2s made their towards the objective and finished off the last ghost, leaving the covenant without a fast reaction unit.

Hunters moved up to secure the centre of the complex and man did they do work. They tanked the scorpion, gauss hogs and the Spartans for four turns and held on. Hunters are truly magnificent.

Some bad rolls left my covanent dwindling in the face of grim, determined unsc fire. My Grunt leives were mowed down by flanking warthogs, my hunters were whittled away and when my Elites and War host leader deployed they sadly met with a Pelican gun run.

And the most cinematic moment. ODSTs hot dropping behind a wraith and destroying it with satchel charges to then claim the objective, helljumpers certainly get it done.

Game ended 6 to 17 to the unsc, my covenant were absolutely demolished, but it was alot closer than the score suggested. I did alot of damage to units, but just couldn't push them over the edge. A bad melee roll with my elites vs the scorpion could have swang the game my way, but the Prophets had abandoned me.

Overall, the game lived up to and blew away my expectations.
