My name is Tomás Ferreira. I’m a filmmaker who’s producing and directing an upcoming comedy-drama short film designed around the visual atmosphere of Barra and Costa Nova, two Portuguese coastal towns whose architecture, enveloping dunes, Atlantic light and the incredible visual presence of the nearby Aveiro lagoon feel inherently cinematic.

Lead by an experienced cast and crew, DOG LOVE follows two strangers searching for a missing dog across set lagoon (named after the nearby city of Aveiro) during low tide, using the landscape itself as an emotional mirror for longing, distance, and failed connection between the two characters.

The project is currently crowdfunding, with a strong focus on cinematic photography, natural textures, and capturing this region of Portugal with authenticity and care.

O meu nome é Tomás. Sou um realizador de cinema, natural de Aveiro. Lancei recentemente uma campanha de crowdfunding para a minha nova curta-metragem, AMOR DE CÃO, que conta com os atores Miguel Amorim e Rita Bretão, e pensei em partilhá-la convosco.

É uma comédia dramática passada na Barra e na Costa Nova, prestes a ser filmada em Julho, sobre um homem solitário que, enquanto ajuda uma desconhecida a procurar o seu cão desaparecido, alimenta secretamente a esperança por um romance improvável.
