Sub is drowning in Self-promotion and Shlock posts

Hi there,

I've noticed a trend over the past year or so of this sub being largely turned into an advertisement page with self-promotion. This includes a lot of projects where AI was used.

Can we please have a requirement that these posts are required to tag themselves as self-promotion? And additionally, if these projects include AI, an additional tag with such a label?

I'd like to completely filter these posts out, as I feel they have degraded the community in general.

Regards,

Sedghammer

*edit* I'd also like to ask the community - what is r/4Xgaming really about? I always came here to discuss games with other 4X gamers that like to play 4X games. If that's what this community is about, then I'm not sure it's succeeding currently.

If instead this community is about shameless self-promotion, game development, and AI slop, then it's succeeding wildly. I strongly suspect that most of us are not here for that.
