Last Sceptre: EU or NA version? Is the extra content good?

Hi all, I'm currently playing through The Lost Future, and I wanted to get people's opinion on which version of the next game I should play.

For the first three games I've done the EU version, as I heavily prefer the voice actors in said version; however, I heard that the NA/JP versions of Last Sceptre/ Sceptre's Call have a bit of extra content that was cut from the European release. So, in your opinion, is the bonus content worth playing? I don't hate the NA VA's or anything, they just sound a bit off to me.

Frequent savefile issues across many games

Hi, I'm using melonDS nightly on my AYN Thor (since it's the only version that has both dual screen support as well as the fixes for Prof. Layton crashing), but the issues with savefiles are starting to drive me insane.

Sometimes, I'll save the game, quit the game, and when I get back to it, the savefile is still in its previous state, as if it hadn't gone through. Sometimes I'll start a new game, and play it a couple of times, quit it, and when I open it next day there is *no* savefile at all; a .sav exists in the roms folder, but it is 0 bytes.

I had been playing Unwound Future these past couple of days with zero issues, saving and loading was all normal (including a single savestate I made, though I typically dont use them) except that when I opened up the gamet today, the savestate and savefile are both gone! I can see the .sav file in the folder and it *does* have data written on it, but it just does not get accepted for some reason.

Last time I asked about this, I was told to be careful to close out the emulator before shutting down the Thor, and that shutting it down while the emulator is running can lead to these issues. I have been very careful to follow this guideline since, but if anything the problem has gotten worse.

If someone can help me figure out what's going on, or recommend an alternative that isn't as prone to unstable savefile handling, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm happy to provise any information that is requested.
