When I first setup my home office, I purchased the first BenQ ScreenBar Halo and quite frankly it was the item that made the most impact to the overall space.

Fast forward to just this past week, I upgraded from my BenQ ScreenBar Halo to the BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 and I was so surprised by the difference! It even sits on top of my 57" Samsung Neo G9 a bit better than the first iteration does, as the rubber feet are better quality.

At 100% I was blown away how bright it was, it illuminates everything. The fidelity of the light even seems better. My favorite temperature is 2700k as I prefer warmer light tones throughout my house. During the day and for typical office work, I keep it on the brighter side. I sometimes even enable auto mode, as my office only has one window so not a whole lot of light enters the room from the outside. At night, when gaming or just browsing, I prefer to keep the downward facing light around 25% (sometimes lower) and the back facing light around 50%. I like to have the back light a little brighter than the downward facing light.

As far as new features go, my favorite is the motion sensor. With the first one, I would always turn it off when leaving my office or when I was done for the night, but now if you turn the setting on, it will turn off when it doesn't sense an activity for a period of time. When I come back in and sit down, it automatically turns back on and it feels SO slick! The upgrades they made to the control puck are amazing too. Everything is so much better with the digital readouts so you can really fine tune your preffered lighting.

I absolutely recommend the BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 (even if you have a first gen) to anyone looking to elevate your setup to the next level. If you're on the fence you absolutely will not regret it. Every setup needs this, it's a real game changer.
