Hi everyone,
We’re out of state, and my son submitted his UNC housing application on May 17—about 2 days after the priority deadline 😞
He doesn’t know anyone at UNC yet, so he’s fine with a random roommate. That said, he’s an assured admit to business and was really hoping to:
room with someone with similar academic interests
and get into one of the dorms he listed as preferences
Now we’re worried that applying late might significantly limit his options.
How much does missing the priority deadline actually impact:
dorm assignment?
chances of getting a compatible roommate?
Any insight or experiences would really help calm some anxious parents here. Thanks so much!
