Series 66

Series 66

I missed the passing grade by literally one point. Obviously, I’m disappointed and frustrated, but I’m keeping a strong mindset and aiming to retake it in 30 days.

Since I head back to college for my senior year in a couple of weeks, I want to figure out how to maximize my study time without completely sacrificing my final year of school. I know I won’t get this period of life or freedom back, and I want to enjoy my weekends and make the most of it.

At the same time, passing this exam is a huge priority for me I know that getting it out of the way will take a massive weight off my shoulders for full-time job recruiting.

For anyone who balanced heavy studying with their senior year (or a busy schedule):
How did you structure your study routine during the week to keep your weekends relatively open?

What are the best high-yield strategies to squeeze out those last few points in a 30-day window?

I’d be super grateful for any advice or schedules that worked for you. Thanks in advance!

Series 66 HELP

Hi everybody,

I’m taking the Series 66 exam in 5 days and I am extremely anxious. I’ve been using the Kaplan QBank and hammering out simulated exams nonstop for the past three weeks.

My scores started in the low 60s, but my most recent exam was a 78%.

Even with that score, I’m really nervous about a few specific areas:

Section III (Investment Vehicles): Fixed Income & Equity (Bond yields YTM/YTC, duration, option strategies)

Section II (Client Recommendations & Taxation): Capital gains, estate/gift tax basis, IRAs vs. Roth IRAs, 529s, and valuation metrics (CAPM, Alpha/Beta, Sharpe Ratio, DCF)

For anyone who has passed: how hard did the actual exam feel compared to Kaplan? What should I focus my strategy on over these last 5 days?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! 🙏
