For the past month or so, me and my family have had to deal with our next door neighbors blaring their extremely loud music in the evenings and sometimes really late into the night.

For some context, we've lived in a fairly new townhome community for almost 3 years now, and we live in an end unit. We've had a few problems, mainly with the HOA being slow about dealing with issues regarding the house, but none really with neighbors.

A few different people have moved in next to us, and they're usually quiet and friendly. But then this new family moves in with a moving truck almost as big as their house. A husband and wife(at least I assume they're married), and 3 little kids.

At first, they were pretty quiet, then out of nowhere, all types of noise. Banging on the walls, thumping up and down the stairs, drilling. To a certain extent, I was fine with it. They just moved in. Plus they have 3 kids, so it's a little understandable, albeit pretty annoying when it goes on late at night.

Then the music started.

Almost every single night, at the same exact time, they start blaring their obnoxious music through what I'm guessing is some kind of big stereo system or whatever hooked up on the wall. And when I say loud, I'm talking loud enough to shake our pictures on the walls and the floor.

Now, this is already ignorant enough, but add in the fact that they continue playing the music well into the night. Usually they stop at around 10 PM, but one time they left it on until almost midnight.

As you can imagine, we haven't been too happy about this. Especially since most of us work very early in the morning. We've tried multiple times now to talk to them, but they never answer the door no matter how many times we knock or ring the doorbell. But they do stop the music, which tells me they can hear us.

Not only that, but they almost never seem to leave their house, and the few times we're outside at the same time, they've been very... weird? Like, the dude once pulled up as my dad walked out the door to go to work, stayed in his car until my dad pulled off, then practically speed walked into his house afterwards. And another time my sister happened to step out of the garage as their door was going up, then it instantly went back down.

We've contacted the HOA and code enforcement, but we haven't heard anything back yet. I'm also thinking about getting the police involved, but I'm a little hesitant since I've read plenty about them being kinda aloof about these types of things.

I don't know what to do. I just don't want my parents to be stressed out about nonsense like this. They already go through enough every day without having to deal with douches blasting their crappy music at 10 PM. If anyone has advice on the best course of action, it'd be appreciated.

Tldr: Annoying neighbors won't stop blasting music and refuse conversation. What should we do?
