New Hire with Dyslexia and Facing Challenges
I am a new hire at Chase and have enjoyed working there. I was diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age making it harder and take longer for me to read material. I have worked many jobs in the past that did not require as much reading so it never bothered me too much. I have been working here for a month and have felt the stress of being monitored while working and having dyslexia getting to me and I feel I am underperforming. I did not disclose in the application I had dyslexia (for many reasons) and I need to know how to properly navigate seeking accommodations if possible to help me or if anyone has any tips on what I can do on my own. I am an associate banker btw.
I am apprehensive to tell my manager up front and don't want it to turn into a reason to fire me since I very much need this job.
