Spent a few weekends putting together a hitch-mounted winch setup for my R1T for tree hauling at the mountain house — 12,000 lb OpenRoad winch, independent AGM battery/power unit mounted in the bed, and had to fight the tailgate clearance a bit (needed a solid-shank hitch extension + moved the solenoid box). Total came out to around $1,100.
