Hot take - fishing for perch with light gear in summer knowing it's likely to hook a pike is worse than deliberately fishing for them with proper pike gear
I've seen a lot about this - including some posts on here saying don't fish for pike in summer. My feeling is that fishing for perch on light gear (dropshot, ultralight gear etc) is worse because you have to play the fish for ages and tired them out for a longer period of time.
Thoughts?
