and my favorite version is the one featured in the Dilla Legacy Collection Vol 1 (mixed by DJ Dub) but I can’t actually tell which version this is? Is it just the regular/original version That Dilla made? is there an instrumental with this intro (without the lasers and DJ tag lol) I’d love to find it.
by secret song i mean untitled 2nd halves like he included on his other albums i.e. Stuck in the Mud or HB2U. I thought the two part songs had become a staple for him atp. and I always liked trying to decipher the meaning of the two halves, why not just add another song? how did the two halves juxtapose each other etc. Wonder if there will be a “secret song” on the deluxe 🤔
my ex would call the second half of Vibers(Prayers) the “Kung-Fu Panda song”
can’t even listen to the song without hearing that now.. lol I do still listen to it though, but mostly for the fist half.

love me some Khruangbin.. never thought I’d hear Zay sample them haha.. so dope. you can hear it best at the very end of the song with the vocal being cut short: “she was a queen” but you can also hear it a little throughout the song in the bassline. Makes me wonder what other cool samples are in this album. Have you guys found any yet?
