Any Staccato owners in here? Do I actually pull the trigger and buy a staccato once and cry once or should I just go pick up an alternative like the Springfield Prodigy?

Hey everyone!
I work in the grain industry and my job is essentially to travel around plants and inspect equipment for defects before they become tragedy or inefficiency in production. Apart of that involves removing covers off equipment and 9/10 if said equipment is in a tunnel or a facility that is older or not well kept they’re covered in a layer of fine grain dust and… you guessed it, mouse/rat waste and sometimes raccoon feces.
Removing said covers its almost impossible to not disperse some level of dust into the air of the tunnels especially if nearby equipment is running and blowing dust around. On a good note gloves and dust masks are ALWAYS worn. My whole career (and most of my life) I’ve always tried my absolute best to avoided disturbing, touching, or breathing rodent / bird waste as I’ve always known it could make you sick. However, I never knew there were more serious diseases such as the Hantavirus.
Obviously being in the position we’re in it’s not our know how, job, or place to properly and safely remove/clean these areas or pieces of equipment but would it benefit us if we start carrying a spray bottles with water to wet down the tops of the covers before removal? Would this help at all to mitigate potentially inhaling particles from any disturbed waste?
