Large hole saw catching aggressively

It's a 4.5" hole saw in 1" plywood. I have two layers of this to get through. The issue I'm struggling with is the saw is catching aggressively, it feels like it's trying to hurt me.

I've tried different combinations of pressure and speed and going in reverse occasionally. I have been vacuuming the chips when they build up and I haven't seen smoke yet. Is this just something you have to deal with on some types of plywood? My neighbor threw out this plywood when moving so I don't know what type it is.

I started with a cordless brushless drill and switched to this one cuz it seemed like this job threatened the locking mechanism in the cordless drill, and it kept cutting out bc of its safety features.

I do have the plywood clamped to the table thing holding it, which is also a dumpster dive find.

Any advice would be appreciated! ty!

I removed the riving knife.... I feel like an idiot.

I don't really know what to say about the video 😔 I feel like I have a brain and didn't use it.

The riving knife was causing the pieces I was cutting to wedge or bind against the fence. I removed it to stop the binding. But now I can see very clearly why it was there in the first place. "If there's a sign there's a story."

My fence is square to the table. I thought the riving knife is too thick. What do you guys think? Do I need to bolt the saw down to a heavier table so I can push work pieces easier? Should I have a second person help me do bigger cuts? Is there another alignment issue I can check for?

Any other comments on my "technique"... if you can call it that, are welcome. I do want to be safe and maybe I won't be if left to my own devices...

My kitty Juice, it was a warm day

She was dangling her front legs, then got playful and swatted at me for stalking her with my phone.

Regular sitting affordability ideas? - Thinking about taking a job with 75% travel

I really don't want a job with 75% travel, but I just had a screening interview and I'm VERY interested in this job, and they did say I'd be home on weekends. I have 4 cats, I love being home with them and I love coming home to them. But, I've been unemployed and looking for a new job since February... I don't know passing up this opportunity would be financially responsible.

I typically use Trusted House Sitters, but this job would only give 3 to 7 days notice before travelling. In my experience that is not enough time to find someone on Trusted House Sitters.

Also, this job does not pay more than my last job, so I won't really have the budget for a paid sitter even if they only charge $20/visit.

And... I wouldn't be posting this if I had a partner or someone living with me. Figure that's kinda obvious at this point.

So... Anyone have ideas or experience with having 4 cats, 75% travel but home on weekends, and figuring out a solution for cat care?

I don't want to do auto feeders. I don't think it's fair for them to be alone that long. Also one cat needs an inhaler once a day, one cat needs prozac, and one cat needs a hydrolyzed diet.

I'm thinking maybe I just shouldn't take this job... but that makes me really nervous as it's the first good opportunity I've found in 5 months.

I'm near Saratoga NY if that's relevant.

Thank you!

RingVideos downloader by mmckechney, struggling to authenticate

Hello,

I'm trying to download all of my ring videos using the RingVideos downloader posted by mmckechney. I want to find my list of device ID's (I'm not sure if the ID's are just the name I set for the camera or not) before starting a download. But, I can't figure out how to authenticate.

I'm seeing an error "This session has not yet been authenticated. Please call Authenticate() first."

But the readme and help menu do not list "Authenticate" as a command, and when I try to use it as a command it says it's not recognized as a command or argument.

I've tried devices -u <username> -p <password>

But it spits out the same thing, "This session has not yet been authenticated. Please call Authenticate() first."

So, I'm trying to download the last 24 hours to see if I can get it to authenticate using that command. The Readme shows an example:

RingVideos all --person -s "yesterday" --path D:\RingVideos

But apparently "yesterday" isn't something you can actually give it. Now I don't know how to format the date/time in a way that it will accept. It says expected type 'System.DateTime' but I don't know what that means.

It printed out options and for start time it says default: 1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM so I tried entering yesterday at 12 am using that format but it says it doesn't recognize 12:00:00 or AM.

So yeah... I'm struggling with this CLI program. I can't authenticate and I can't enter time...
