Hotel vs Apartment vs Airbnb

I’ve been in Da Nang for almost a week, seen a handful of apartments and a few Airbnb, and stayed in two hotels. The hotels are cheaper and much bigger than the apartments I saw; of course they lack a washer, but you can order that service at the front desk for a dollar.

The Airbnb also looks really nice, even better without an apartment agent playing tricks on you. One of my apartment agents was a middle age lady who brought her 8 year-old daughter with her. I ended up turning down her offer, but I’m still heartbroken about it. Airbnb uses shared washer, but who needs a private washer in your room anyway. You can view Airbnb before booking; it’s almost the same as hotels, just less available.

So my advice for people planning to visit Da Nang is to just save yourselves the trouble of meeting agents and signing contracts and making deposits, and just use hotels or Airbnb.

Layover All Nighter in Hongdae

Layover from 17:50 to 11am. First time in Korea and planning to roam Hongdae all night until morning train.

How much cash should I carry? I’m planning to eat a lot of street food.

Is there a specific location I should visit?

And…uhhh…where should I piss and shit?
