I just moved to canada from hong kong, and i was wondering if there are a decent amount of east asians at laurier since i am a little worried about feeling out of place here. I know most east asians usually go to waterloo, but what about at laurier? And how easy is it to make friends with people at waterloo as a laurier student.
For context, im grade 12 rn and i got rejected from my top choices (uw afm and math, ivey, and queens). So right now im deciding between laurier bba or mac math and stats. I dont know much about math and stats, so i wanted to ask if its worth going in to. Is the employement rate good/do grads struggle to get a good job. Also i saw second year there are some programs with co-op. Im interested in going in to the Honours Actuarial & Financial Mathematics second year if i do go. And lastly, how far off is it from waterloo math? Is waterloo significantly better?
