Let the rehab begin

This is my first ever syngonium, I got it in a rescue bag in a hardware store. Seemed to be doing well and had just been dry until this morning I notice it’s rotting. This was the only salvageable part with tiny tiny roots.

Say a prayer to the universe for my baby’s roots to grow healthy and strong!

Emotional support / advice needed

My pride and joy, my monstera deliciosa, which just this growing season put out it's first secondary fenestrated leaf. It wasn't staked properly until I took over care approximately two years ago, and it's grown crooked stems. I want to chop and prop it (in marked spots) but I'm so afraid of doing it.

Should I do it? Any advice or a simple yes/no will be much appreciated since I'm so undecided. It's due for a repot so I feel like now's the time.
