Would you choose a morganite engagement ring with a simple band?

Would you choose a morganite engagement ring with a simple band?

some people say the pale color gets lost unless you put halo diamonds around it, but I really prefer a minimalist setting. for anyone who picked this combination, would you choose a morganite engagement ring with a simple band again, or do you wish you went with a tougher gemstone instead?

Who else chose pearl as an engagement ring and added stones around it?

Looking at pearl centers right now but I don't want it too plain. Who else chose pearl as an engagement ring and i wanna have some stones around it too, did you go with a halo or just a few accents on the band? Trying to figure out what actually looks good in person vs photos.

custom gothic engagement rings for my girlfriend suggestions?

I am starting to look at gothic engagement rings for my girlfriend since we talked about getting hitched later this year. She wants a dark gemstone, maybe black diamond or moss agate, but i am completely lost on where to start.

Any red flags i should watch out for when picking vintage or gothic designs online?

Best jewelry insurance need some recommendations for travel

I have a couple pieces i wear all the time and I'm planning a trip abroad soon, so I want to get them properly covered before I leave. I keep hearing horror stories about lost rings on vacation and I don't want to take any chances.

Does anyone have the best jewelry insurance need some recommendation for international coverage? Just looking for something straightforward that actually covers loss or damage while traveling.

Took a chance on a salt and pepper diamond ring, and I'm so glad I did

I was really unsure about ordering a salt and pepper diamond ring online without seeing the inclusion pattern in person first. But when I opened the box today, it was just perfect!!! It looks so unique on my hand compared to a standard stone. do you guys think I should pair it with a plain gold band or something with more texture?

Lost in all the diamond cuts but ended up with and oval!

There are just so many options out there when you start looking. I was totally overwhelmed by how many different shapes exist, but somehow diamond cuts so many and i chose oval in the end.

It just stood out compared to everything else. Super happy with how it sits on my finger!

Anyone actually used rare carat for their engagement ring? Reading reviews and still not sure

Hey everyone! I'm planning to propose soon and starting to look at rings. I've seen a lot of good posts about Rare Carat, but most of them are older, so I'm looking for some updated feedback. To be honest, I'm a bit skeptical of online diamond buying some of these promos almost feel too good to be true, and I tend to be wary of that. Right now, I found a setting and stone I really like, and they're running a 30% off site wide deal, plus throwing in a free pair of $400 diamond studs. For anyone who has bought from them recently: Is everything legitimate? How is the actual build quality and metalwork in person, and how smooth was your experience?

Happy with my purchase 9 carat diamond value seems fair

Just wanted to share a small win I just picked up a 9ct diamond ring after weeks of browsing local jewelers, and I'm honestly really happy with it. It's not huge but it sparkles nicely and looks great on my hand. The price lined up with what I saw elsewhere, so it feels fair instead of "too good to be true." For folks who've bought 9ct stones, did your value hold up over time?

Wearing my grandmas cluster engagement ring

My grandma offered me her old ring and its one of those cluster engagement rings. I honestly didnt expect to like it but when I put it on it looked really sweet, like not something you see on everyone.

My custom-made pink sapphire ring is finally here 😍

i'm totally in love with it, the color is even prettier in person and it sparkles like crazy. It feels so special knowing it was made just for me, down to every little detail. Can't stop staring at my hand right now. how did I get this lucky?!

what is the best color for a diamond?

I was talking with my sister last night because she is helping her partner pick up a ring and somehow we ended up debating cubic zirconia vs diamond engagement rings. I always thought the whiter the diamond the better, but then someone tole me slightly warmer diamonds can look nicer in certain settings. Now I am confused honestly. If cubic zirconia is super clear, does that make diamonds with color look worse or more natural? And do most people even notice the color difference in real life?

Please help me find a reliable diamond size on hand simulator before i buy the wrong stone

I thought I knew what I wanted until I actually started looking at sizes. On paper it all sounds so simple, just pick a carat and move on, but my brain refuses to trust numbers now. I tried holding up random stuff to my hand like a tiny bead and it did not help at all. I just want a reliable diamond size on hand simulator before i buy the wrong stone and end up with something that looks weirdly small or weirdly huge. Also my fingers are kinda bony so I feel like everything looks different on me than on photos

Is brilliant earth legit?

I went in thinking I just wanted to look, but the whole process felt kinda formal for something I found online. The photos looked nice but in person the stone seemed a tiny bit different than I expected, maybe thats normal? Has anyone actually bought from them and had it appraised after, did it match what you paid for. Also how was the return stuff if you needed it

How durable is a moissanite chain

My friend grabbed my necklace to look at it and I had that moment of panic like please dont yank it. It is a moissanite chain and it seems sturdy but also kind of delicate if that makes sense. I do not know if its the setting style. If you sleep in your or wear it to the gym does it hold up?

Just bought a diamond eternity band and the stones look a bit cloudy compared to my ring

Finally got an eternity band to wear with my ring and I was genuinely excited about it for days. Then I put them side by side at home and had that sinking feeling because jut bought a diamond eternity band and the stones look a bit cloudy compared to my ring. It is not super obvious from far away, but up close the difference is there. My ring has more sparkle and looks sharper, while the band feels a little flat unless the light is really good.

What is annoying is that the band did not stand out to me in a bad way when I tried it on by itself. It only started bothering me once it was next to my ring all day. Maybe that means the band is fine and I am only noticing contrast, but still. For something that is supposed to sit together, I thought the overall look would be more balanced. Now every time I catch a glimpse of them, my eye goes straight to the band and not in a good way. Maybe I expected too much, idk, but it definitely was not the reaction I thought I would have.
