Yesterday, I visited some apartments for rent. Man, the build quality is very bad. Apartment walls cannot take nails. Lifts are scary. Not only that the 18 - 22 floor buildings have only 2 lifts. Everything looks dusty. Some of the recently build had plaster come out.
Most of the apartments are from noida extension so may be other areas are better.
Now my question is if quality is this bad. I suspect the apartments will start to loose value in 15 years. So people who are buying. May I know what is the rational for it?
For example, if you bought it for living and you are in 30s. At your 60s these apartment will become slum.
And because these apartments are lease hold. You won’t be owning anything.
Basically an apartment worth 1-1.5cr looks absolutely shit. I cannot come to terms to buy it. I want to understand people who brought about their rational.
I have decided to leave my job and pursue something of my own in Lucknow. It’s not exactly full FIRE , but more of a partial FIRE approach. I don’t own any property, and my priority is to build a safe and stable investment portfolio that can generate enough monthly income to cover my living expenses. While I try some low investment businesses I want to do.
As per my research FDs and debt bond invites regular taxes. So I cannot put too much money in it. So I was thinking to do 60-40. Just want to make sure if it is right direction.
