If I put my profile on someone else's console, choose the "lock it down" security option, set that console as my Home console, would anything happen if the person keeps trying over and over to get into my account?

Went to a friend's house and logged in on his console and set it as my home so he can play some of my games. I did pick "lock it down" when signing in for the first time, and made sure to log out when I left (although the profile is still on the console).

Like on PCs in an Enterprise environment, anyone that hates you enough can just go your PC that's locked and type the wrong password a few times and it locks the account. Is something like that the same for Xbox?

My account has two factor and all the recovery info is up to date so, I guess that helps?

Although his attention span is so incredibly short just waiting the 5 seconds for the password screen to load is too long for him so maybe he won't do anything. lol

Did a recent update change how power options work? I can no longer fully shut down my console unless I go all the way into the settings app.

Both Xbox One and Xbox Series S have the same behavior for me.

I've always had my consoles set to Energy Saver mode, so when turning the console on, would have to look at the Xbox logo as the consoles booted. Then MS added auto update to Energy Saver mode and stopped that, so I had to turn off auto updates so the console would fully shut down again (not a big deal), but it seems another update has come out that changed this again, as no matter what my settings are, the console never fully shuts down unless I go to settings app and click the shutdown button. I went and double checked that the console is set to Energy Saver mode, and that auto updates were turned off, but it still does not fully shut down when I press the Xbox button on the controller and choose the on screen option to turn off like I always used to, and it only goes into sleep mode. On the Xbox One, the light on the power brick does not change to orange as it should when the console is fully shut down. I tried turning off remote features, and adjusting Active Hours, to see if they had any impact, but it did not, and the only way now to fully shut down is to go all the way into the settings app and click the button to fully shut down.

Is there some other setting I have to change now, so I can just press the xbox button on the controller and choose the on screen option to turn off to have the console fully shut down like it used to?
