Drarry Fanfic Positivity Post

I've been in a bit of a negative spiral for the last few days, so I thought everyone might enjoy a more positive post to sit in.

Share your favourite Drarry fics and speak a little bit about why you enjoy the author's writing and the plot! Did it make you feel good during a bad day? Does the world feel like a safe haven?

I'll get us started! My absolute favourite Drarry fanfic is House Proud by Astolat. Astolat is one of the authors who got me interested in HP fanfic and made me want to be an author myself. Their worldbuilding is beautiful and feels as easy as breathing. I always go to this fic when I'm having a hard day and just sink into it. It feels like a hug.

Looking for fics with great worldbuilding and fun friendship dynamics

Hello friends — I come with a request. I want to read a Drarry fic where the author really goes above and beyond with the worldbuilding. One of my biggest beefs with JRK (beyond the racism, transphobia, terfiness etc) is that the Wizarding World feels so weirdly tiny and specific. I want expansive magical worldbuilding! For the Wizarding World to feel like a real culture, massive and sprawling!

Some of my loves in fics:

  • Longfics are my baby. WIP's welcome!
  • Great relationship dynamics. I value friendship more than romance. I want Draco and Harry having interesting and compelling friendships that matter as much, if not more than, the romance.
  • A really interesting plot. I don't love full Alternate Universes, but I adore Canon Divergence, Time Travel, etc... Things that let you mess with canon!
  • Fun magical mechanics.
  • Harry and Draco really feeling like they ENJOY each others company, beyond whatever UST and romantic tension there is.
  • Any rating :)

Please comment all your recs!
