Both my parents passed away before the age of 8. My adoptive parents kicked me out at 17 and I’m now 28, living with my boyfriend and Cat. I don’t know what it’s like to have parents and I sure don’t know what it’s like to meet my partners parents. I’m nervous that they won’t like me, I don’t feel good enough and I’m stressed about it. My boyfriend is the best person I know and his parents through the phone have been nothing but kind and they’re very happy to have us over this weekend yet my anxiety tells me otherwise.

3. How do I dress?
4. And what do I talk about?

It’s consuming me.

I have a job offer for vaguely finance related but doesn’t handle money directly. Last year I was laid off and wasn’t able to make payments on credit cards and mortgage and the credit cards are now charged off. Prior to that, I had nearly perfect score and no reported issues. Will this affect my offer? Should I preemptively email them or just wait and see if they ask questions?
