i (18f) had a surgery when i was 12 for an imperforate hymen, when i was 15 i’d noticed yet another string of tissue when trying to take out a tampon(funnily enough, the same way i found out the first time..).

I’ve had a boyfriend for 6 months and we haven’t been intimate for a variety of reasons; one of them being my vaginal opening being partially obstructed by that string. i’m overall just very annoyed that a professional wouldn’t be able to see the extra tissue?? i’m wondering if maybe they thought it could rip or something of that sort.

i can fit two fingers but they will be caught by the flesh sometimes.. which makes me nervous for any kind of sex. i’m looking for people to relate to or just someone with general knowledge, should i go back in and have it removed? should i attempt intimacy again or are the cons heavier than the pros?
