Minolta x-700 - what am I doing wrong?

I have the Minolta x-700 and the MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 Lens.

My photos are coming out very dark. I’m new to using film cameras, so if you have any ideas what it could be or YouTube videos to watch or blog posts or any readings I can do to improve please let me know.

Last photo, photo no 10, is an example of where the photo did come out how I would’ve liked it to.

I use either Aperture priority mode or program mode. Set the iso to what is stated on the film, and don’t mess with the shutter speed - but would decreasing the shutter help with this ?
