Need help with my squarebody
I inherited this truck off my great grandfather and when I first got it didn’t run and then I got it running good, then I decided to tow it a couple months later to my place and I started it and sounded cammed and gave off a decent amount of white grey ish smoke colour on idle and black smoke when I gave it gas. I’ve changed spark plugs and wires, distributor rotor and cap, fuel filter, fuel pump, got carb rebuilt by a old school mechanic, siphoned old fuel out and put new fuel in with Sea foam, new heater block, did an oil change before the oil was black and smelt like fuel but flowed like normal oil and there wasn’t any shavings or anything. with the new oil in and runned a bit it smells like fuel but still is pretty clear but there’s a tiny bit of black and I’m 90% sure it isn’t head gasket or coolant in engine because I haven’t lost a lot of coolant and it doesn’t smell sweet. The carbourator choke doesn’t open and it’s a hot air choke and can’t seem to get it to open I think it’s something to do with my carburetor but if anyone has any advice on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated.
