opened the sub. scrolled for an hour. searched “selling,” “WTS.” there are basically three kinds of people here and none of them are actually using the device.

bucket 1, the sellers (probably half the sub)
every other post is some version of:
• “bought in march, didn’t use as much as expected, selling”
• “got it from dubai / uk / us, not for me, selling”
• “barely used, like new, selling”
• and then there’s the tell. “i bought the helio strap but someone gifted me the whoop.” sure. someone just happened to gift you the exact device you bought a substitute for. sure.
bought it, wore it a week, drawer, now trying to recover sunk cost.

bucket 2, the late fomo buyers
“anyone selling helio strap in mumbai?”
“anyone selling in hyderabad?”
“delhi?”
“bangalore?”
“gujarat?”
“navi mumbai?”
“kochi?”
these are the people bucket 1 is praying for. missed the launch wave, now hunting the secondary market. they don’t own one yet but the cycle is obvious. they’ll buy from a flipper, wear it a week, become bucket 1.

bonus subgenre: “apparently it won’t be available for months” sitting at 12 upvotes with the comments full of restock anxiety. there is genuinely more energy in this sub about WHEN people can buy than about USING what’s been bought. there’s also a guy in poland who got one FOR FREE because nobody there would buy it. let that sit for a second.

bucket 3, the silent majority (and we’ll never know)
amazfit has sold tens of thousands of these. so where is everyone? where are the “month 3 with the helio, readiness scores told me i was overtraining” posts? the hrv trend screenshots? the “60 days of helio vs apple watch sleep data” comparisons? not here. not anywhere in this sub.

a fitness tracker community with zero fitness tracking content. no data, no insights, no long-term reviews. the only post that even tries, “is it really worth the hype,” is sitting at 2 upvotes and 6 comments of “depends.” which forces the obvious conclusion. bucket 3 is just bucket 1 in slow motion. bought it, not using it, just haven’t gotten around to listing it yet. give it time.

I want to sell 2 units of the Helio Strap I bought in August. I never used them because I was outside the country, and I ended up getting a Whoop 4.0 for my wife and myself. I was planning to use these, but now that I have a Whoop, I’ll stick with it for the next year and see how it goes.

Both units are unused. One is sealed, and the other was opened just to check.

I bought them for ₹9,000 each and will be selling them for the same price, unless someone wants to pay more /s
