the calamity devs CANNOT take any criticism

After a week of locking the sub for no reason, it was reopened only to be locked to everyone who isn't approved by the devs. This was done because too many people were saying "Man it kinda sucks to see the devs showing everything they were about to add before the mod got killed"

Curious about Intuos users' hand posture

I have an Intuos Medium and after a few months of using it I feel like I'm at the same level as I am with a screen tablet, I love the simplicity of it and being able to draw without needing to slouch my neck and back forward, but I'm curious if I'm using it correctly and how people typically use this tablet.

Do you rest your hand on the tablet while using it? I do and I can't imagine hovering my hand while using it, I'm just not accurate when hovering and it gets fatiguing. However this leads to me not being able to use the right 1/4 of the tablet due to my hand falling off which really messes up my strokes, I also cannot use it without a drawing glove because my skin just creates too much friction. I've watched videos of people using this tablet and I notice they don't use a glove, but I can't tell if they hover their hand or not.

How the hell was Ozzatron chosen after Fabsol?

So Ozzatron

-participated in the same NSFW server with kids that Fabsol got exposed for

-became the new owner of it

-was literally in multiple screenshots of the Fabsol expose, doing exactly what Fabsol did

-was recommended BY FABSOL TO BECOME THE NEW OWNER

How the hell was he not instantly outed? It's not like the server was some secret server only the two knew about, *multiple* calamity devs were in it too, it couldn't have been more obvious that Ozzatron was just going to be another Fabsol. Why replace a pedo with another pedo, especially when that person is being ousted because of their pedophilia. The Calamity team had to either been malicious or the most incompetent group of people on Earth.

how in the world do you draw an open snout?

very rough, I know, but I can't figure out how to draw an open snout. A closed snout is simple enough, cylinder/box for construction then draw the snout above it, but I'm having a lot more difficulties with drawing it open and I can't find any tutorials or tips online.

Meta for grinding for the book?

Really looking to get the Black Kat Cowl, but from what I've heard the book of dark rituals has like a 0.4% drop rate and the black kats from purr terror don't even drop it. What's the most efficient way to grind for the book in this case?

Is this thing not just a black quest 3 with the valve logo?

The optics are basically the same. Lenses might be slightly better but res and fov are practically the same. Controllers are the same plus a few buttons. Considering this thing is going to be like $1200, what would make this compelling over a quest 3? Not being by facebook is nice, but the vast majority of people do not care about that, certainly not enough to spend twice the amount on a mostly identical device.

Trying to learn figures, am I doing this correctly?

Started drawing about 2 months ago. I'd like to focus on drawing people so I've been drawing models to practice drawing the body, especially in different poses. I'm curious if this is a good method and I'd really appreciate any critique for this. I started with the stick figure to get the pose, then did the construction and the first image attached is the final result.

I think the people suggesting these "DIY Steam Machine killers" just don't understand Mini-ITX

Every DIY "Steam Machine killer" I've seen has been a full-size or mATX build (often with super shoddy PSUs). I don't think people understand just how many sacrifices you need to make for a mini-ITX build. You're giving the ITX tax, have much fewer options, and need to deal with worse thermals + louder noise. No matter what, you're going to get worse $/performance with a mini-ITX build. The Steam Machine is really small and it's like 90% heatsink. For pure raw performance for the $ it can be beat just like any other prebuilt, but for the form factor it's really compelling.

Anyone played with a Steam Controller?

Or with a Steam Deck? How is the experience? I always liked the idea of playing SK on a controller but the game's default controller support is really bad. Interested in getting the controller partially for this game but I haven't seen anyone talk about this.

Is the smaller size of screenless tablets a problem?

I'm looking to get a new tablet after my 13 inch screen tablet has stopped working. I'm interested in getting a screenless one because they're much cheaper and in the long-term should be better for ergonomics. My main concerns are the size and accuracy. At times my 13 inch tablet has felt cramped and I'd think how much nicer a larger screen would be, but when I look at the Intuos line for example, the medium is only 10 inches and the large is 15, I've always struggled with smaller strokes and have pretty shaky hands so I always preferred making larger strokes and can't really imagine using a screen tablet smaller than 13 inches. Is the smaller active size as much of a problem on screenless tablets as it would be on a tablet with a screen? I'm thinking of getting the Intuos medium since they seem to be really reliable and I wouldn't have to worry about getting a new tablet for a really long time.

Beginner completely lost on getting into construction

I'm trying to learn construction as someone super new to drawing but I'm just completely lost on where to even begin. I hear Loomis's and Michael Hampton's books on figure drawing recommended a lot, but they're also meant for more intermediate artists, which I am not. There also seems to be hundreds of different ways to draw figure constructions. Boxes only, spheres only, cylinders/boxes, spheres/boxes, etc. I've just been trying to copy models from sites like quickposes or line of action with various construction shapes but it never turns out well and I don't really understand it or how I would improve. Are there any free resources for a complete beginner wanting to learn figure construction or just figures in general? Proko seems really popular but I don't have $150 to drop on a course right now.
