05 Sportsman 90 - Oil
Just cleaned the carb and drained all fluids on my son’s 2005 Polaris Sportsman 90 with oil injection. We haven’t owned it for long, and wanted to do things the right way moving forward.
The ‘05 manual calls for (Polaris) VES II 2-stroke oil for the injection system, separate from the gearcase oil.
I don’t mind spending the money for the Polaris brand oil, figured I’d play it safe and follow the manual. The current VES formula on the market which supposedly replaced the former VES II and Gold synthetics advertises for snowmobiles (seemingly exclusively). I can’t imagine that’s ideal for off road riding in July.
What do I use for the oil injection system? Hoping to hear some tried-and-true rec’s. I know I’m probably crazy for even considering the Polaris brand due to the price.
Thanks in advance
