Anhinga emerging from the water with a fish in its beak.
All my images have been captured with different Canon cameras and lenses across the years. Should anyone want details about the equipment for a specific shot, feel free to ask. Thanks for looking!
Seattle, Wa
One of my favorite skyline shots, I love that Mt. Rainier was fully visible.
Los Angeles with Griffith Observatory
Took a nice hike today and was able to grab this. It was pretty overcast today and there was a chemical fire downtown that just got put out. I still think it’s a really cool shot! Iphone 17 pro
Limpkin with a snail
Its always fun watching them catch snails and pull the snail out and disregarding the shell with just their beak and tongue.
Roseate spoonbill coming in for a landing
Great Egret about to swallow a minnow
I rented an RF200-800 lens in December 2025 to test it out. I enjoyed the reach, but the autofocus was a bit slower, and the build quality is certainly not comparable to L lenses. Despite these minor drawbacks, I’m genuinely pleased with the results.
Anhinga drying wings
Anhinga’s are probably my favorite water-based bird. I wanted to say “wading bird,” but I’m not sure if that’s the correct term. I particularly love their breeding plumage. However, this particular anhinga was being a bit of a bully to a little blue and little green heron.
Least Grebe
I absolutely love watching Grebes dive; they never return to the surface where you expect them to!
