Some call it a “problem”
I’d say it’s a great one to have 🙌🏼

The Curious Case of Sterling Henderson
I had the pleasure of meeting Scoot at a foot locker public signing event in Vegas a couple years back, and I’ll never let the anti Scoot club win in my mind. dude is such a humble, sweet person and he is on the cusp of unlocking the best version of himself.
People love to hate a guard heavy rotation forgetting that Dame and Jrue will likely be load managed outside of any natural injuries, and Scoot is not going to have to fight for minutes the way people think.
I think a 6/7 first man up role with Jrue and Shaedon could be epic and a lot for any opponent to face nightly. If Scoot can bring a Blake Wesley level energy to the defensive end, and he continues to sniff regular efficiency on offense, people do sleep on the monster bench potentially being overlooked here.
Ja and Dame starting could be awkward, Jrue and Dame starting could be awkward, I don’t really care… people complained forever we didn’t have enough high quality talent and we finally do, and didn’t even have to part with any picks to do so.
Scoot as franchise player alright alright let’s cool the jets on expectations
Scoot as we just let him be an absolute pest on both sides of the ball, still 22 YO… Dame and Jrue likely retire in 3 years/ perfect timing…
Positivity is 1 helluva thing, might have ya believing in something in Portland again.
Pass First PG Live Wednesday Nite at Mayfly Taproom
7:30 PM this Wednesday, Mike is doing the Locked On Blazers recording in front of his audience live at the Mayfly Taproom in Portland.
Just sharing for anyone that is a Locked On podcast fan, and wanted some live Blazers offseason fun. I thought I heard him say Casey Holdahl was co hosting but I might have misunderstood
Assistants just about locked in for this year:
Just listened to today’s 8 AM premiere of Locked On Blazers, where Host Mike Richman confirmed Nate Bjorkgren and Quinton Crawford will remain under contract this upcoming season joining along with Jay Triano and Micah Nori, Mike Williams (Jazz) and what looks like Ryan Bowen incoming from the Nuggets potentially.
Sharing to give an idea of what the staff should look like for our squad next year! I‘m personally really hyped for the Triano rehire and his connection with coach Micah. Keeping Bjork would be a huge plus. Should be a lot of fun, at the least.
Mike also mentioned James Posey and Ronnie Burrell are no longer under contract, so take that for what you will but perhaps they’re out.

Get to know the man behind the arrows.
Part of me thinks we’ll find minutes for Scoot
Idk, just a wild guess
They see me floating, they hating
But really, just a photo dump of our new former star guard from this AM. Looks like a huge nature guy these days. Shows a good side of
Him - I’m all for second chances.
Cost of ‘tisse
I’ve seen many give him no chance of staying which this 48 hr old pic with coach nori tells me maybe otherwise…
Pass first pg Mike Richman recently discussed the scenario of Tisse going to FA.
I think it’s undeniable that a healthy Matisse is a massive asset (vet focused) for this roster. The perfect defensive nightmare to help raise up Sidy/C Love/Scoot as stalwarts on that side of the ball.
What terms are you comfortable with in a scenario where we are signing him in this role, given his extreme lack of playability since joining Portland? Do you let him walk?
I’m comfortable with a one year deal personally, with minimal role expectations if we strike out completely chasing MLE targets and want to simply resign him and Timelord.
I feel like the vibes are still too strong with Mathief The Disruptor, and we will need all the valuable vets we can get around Dame come playoff time (assuming they are all actually available lol). Give the man $9-10 mil to rock those beautiful braids and pearly whites, and call it a day.
As I overthink everything this evening
on a side note, Dame has some new workouts on his IG. Port2Por?
Why do people assume Dame is washed?
Dame is mega wealthy with the access to top global medical, took 1.5 seasons plus off.
I think we get our boy back (in load management 60-65 games played form) but 30+ pt outings, 8-11+ 3 nights are coming. Maybe a 50 ptr left in him if we’re really lucky, maybe Deni is out and it’s a crucial game to win… legends are made and he is one!
With potentially much more offensive support around him, particularly playmaking ability between Deni, Jrue, DC, Scoot and who knows what else we actively add around him this offseason.
A lot of crow to be had if Dame is even 90% in crucial moments. I think we’re traumatized by all of the “degenerative” injuries of the past to Blazers stars.
Walton‘s poorly repaired foot
B Roy’s knees
Oden’s long legs plus knees plus wrists plus who knows
This time is different, Rip City for we can truly hope again.
Dame might be 35 like OP, but I smell a redemption arc incoming.
DISCUSS
Could the Blazers add their own swap rights from 28-30 to help get Giannis? Hypothetical question
Hear me out oh over thinkers of rip city!
So we have discussed returning the Bucks their own draft rights, outright in a trade package for Giannis (plus Shae/JG addl picks etc or whatever).
To further sweeten the pot per the new draft plans… could we also add the right to swap with the Blazers during 28-30 for further added value in the trade?
In my brain, it almost ensures Milwaukee themselves better draft choices to have 2 chances at a high lotto pull - no?
Let’s discuss!
