Fun Greatsword Revenant Build

This build isn't meant to be ultra optimized and meta, Just a fun way to play the bean.

Relic 1: (Dark Night of the Fallen)

Increased Max HP

Continuous HP Recovery

Slowly Restore HP when HP is low

Since I plan on mixing it up in Melee, survivability is Key. More HP is always great, and I can stack HP regen with my second relic effect, which can help keep me at full hp for "Damage Negation at Full HP".

Relic 2:

Power up while fighting alongside family (HP recovery, 10% Damage Buff, 20% Defence Buff)

Physical Attack up +2

I was hard pressed trying to figure out how to maximize my damage, and I think this is the best in slot. I get a 16.5% damage bonus to all physical damage, which is substantial. I also get utility like HP regen and Damage negation (Not super useful, but it doesnt hurt to have more damage negation while reviving allies with the big guy).

Relic 3:

Trigger Ghostflame Explosion During Ultimate

Attack Power Increased for each night invader

Not much to say her, it's the mandatory night invader relic. I like that I rolled it with Revenants ghost flame effect, it lets her do solid damage with her Ult.

Relic 4: (God Roll?)

Improved Strength Reduced Faith

Dormant Power helps discover Greatswords

Increased HP

Honestly, insanely lucky roll. Imrpoved strength lets revenant actually deal respectable damage with the big swords. I need to find greatswords so dorman greatswords is mandatory. Increased Max HP is always great to see.

Relic 5: Comparison

Partial HP Restoration+1 vs. Partial HP + 2

Improved Holy Damage Negation vs. Improved Damage negation when knocked back

Increased Max HP vs. Improved affinity Damage negation

Im torn between 2 relics with this. But the main goal od this slot is survivability.

Relic 6:

Improved Vigor & Endurance, Reduced Mind

Physical attack up +4

A really strong roll for Revenant Stat adjustment.

Thats is the main build. I get 1185 HP, Respectable survivability & Damage, and I get the decent utility her summons provide (Reviving, Holding Aggro, HP regen, Bonus damage) I also have a greatsword builds for her that are built around spamming revenants Ult (To power up the team), or Using ashes of war (revenant has a healthy ammount of mind). Revenants solid mental stats means she gets really competitive damage vs. Wylder when running the greatswords that pack mental scaling.

New Guardian Player Seeking Advice on my Build

Hey everyone, I hope you are having a happy Saturday! So I have been playing Nightreign for a lonnnnnnnng time, and wanted to mix things up. I often play Duchess, Wylder, Revenant, Iron Eye, and Undertaker to fairly decent success, but the game was getting a bit stale for me, so I decided to pick up one of the niche characters. Guardian seemed interesting as he offers a unique playstyls that isnt just Balancer Slop, so I decided to give him a shot and try an make a build for him. I researched his relic effects, and playstyle, and this is the build I settled on.

Relic 1:

Draw Enemies Attention while Guarding

Improved Guard Counters (IGC)

From what I understand, this character wants to hold aggro and tank damage for his team so my allies can deliver the real damage. So pulling enemy aggro by shielding seems like a mandatory effect, Being able to boost my guard counters by 15% also seems like a solid effect to have, and was my best secondary effect to go with the "Draw enemy attention" passive.

Relic 2:

Increased Duration for character skill

Crits Boost Stamina Regen

Guard Counter is Given a boost Based on HP (GHP)

The buffed character skill looks to be great for dealing with trash mobs, and also for dealing perpetual damage to the boss to to regain aggro (Im not sure if boss aggro is based on damage or frequency or attacks). Crits Boost stamina Regen is a nice bonus as guardians stamina is incredibly important as his entire play style is based around stamina management, so having a relic effect that helps that (however situational) is nice. Lastly, GHP is mandatory from what I've read. It can give you a substantial damage increase to your guard counters.

Relic 3:

Successful Guards Sends Out Shockwaves (GSS)

N/A

Attack power increased for each Night Invader defeated

GSS seems to be a CRITICAL effect for any Guardiam build. Its deals chip damage, poise damage, and helps maintain boss aggro. Night Invader go brrrrrr. Im not sure if night invaders is mandatory on Guardian (He isnt a dps character really) but I rarely make a build without it free damage increase is never a bad thing.

Relic 4:

Improved Guard Counter + 2

Improved Physical Damage negation +2

More damage and more defense. Hard to go wrong with these effects. I do have a "character skill boosts damage negation for self and allies" + Physical attack ^3 relic in the same color, but it has a "reduced vigor" penalty on one of the effects and +10% physical damage to every thing might be a bit worse than +26% guard counter damage. Please let me know which is better.

Relic 5:

Improved Strength and Dexterity

Improved Guard Counter +2

I was iffy on this relic as the "improved strength and Dexterity" relic effect also nerfs your HP, but every one says the damage buff is worth it, so I slotted it in. The relic also rolled with IGC +2 so why not run it?

Relic 6:

Partial HP +2

Improved Poise & Damage Negation when Knocked Back

Improved Affinity Damage Negation +1

I know elemental damage will chip through my shield and I might get dead angled on shield, so I wanted a way build back my lost HP. Partial HP + 2 seems like it coukd work if I guard counter after blocking elemental damage. Im not sure if the 2nd relic effect triggers for Guardian if I get knocked back while in shield stance (If it does then thats AMAZING), but even if it doesn't if I miss a block or get smacked around because I lost all my stamina, being able to get a damage reduction as compensation for my bad play is nice. Lastly, shields block 100% physical damage (Unlike in Elden Ring) so the only damage that can hurt me is elemental, So being able to better resist that seems like a solid bonus.

This build tries to focus on damage and survivablity. I want to be able to hurt bosses so I'm not a liability, but I wanna stay healthy so I can make the most out of my GHP relic effect. I am new to guardian and next to no play time on him, so my build may not be optimal for DON, but thats why we crowd source wisdom. Please give me any suggestion or fixes to the build. Have a wonderful day!

Morons Threw my Game

Edit: This was a Blind run with the Map hidden. Our routing was not optimal because of it.

HERO and Non deliberately threw my run. I went down one time 65% through Dreglords first Phase, and they never revived me. I spent the rest of the fight down on 1 bar and they Just ignored me, then emoted during the phase transition. Then in phase 2, they dropped their wending grace and both died. I hope they die alone and forever have pillows that are warm on both sides. Genuinely ruined an otherwise solid run. I even dropped them a SWORD OF NIGHT N FLAME! Genuine Elo terrorists. Non 3 barred 2 x and Wylder 2 bard. Just ruined my already shitty day. Had a long day at work, broke my phone screen, got into a stupid fight with my GF, and then my FIRST GAME i run into a couple of failed abortions.

fouuub and ianwxlr are their PSN names. Avoid them if u can. I hope they find out their mom is also their sister.

Dual Curved Sword Duchess Build

Hey everyone!

Today I got inspired to post my personal favorite Duchess build. This build focuses on dual wielding curved swords and utilizing their ashes of war, to pump out consistent high damage. Let's get into my relic choices.

Relic 1: Red Balancer

The Magma Blade (MB) and Wing of Astel (WoA) ash of wars are excellent and the bonus melee damage and occassiobal get outa jail free card are best in slot imo.

Relic 2: Killing Enemies while art is active ups attack power + Night Invader + Vigor ^3

This is a solid roll that buffs survivability, gives the borderline mandatory night invader relic, and allows me to utilize Duchess's most underated relic effect. The "Killing Enemies while art is active ups attack power" lets you trivialize a lot of field bosses like castle basement (Kill 4+ the crabs outside the boss room for a 75% damage buff), lake boss (Kill the 7+ Crabs near the scarab spawn location for a 266% damage bonus), bosses with summons (dukes dear freya, wormface, dreglord, etc) etc. This relic can help you steamroll field bosses to search for good curved swords, and dormant powers.

Relic 3: Duchess Improved character skill attack power + Improved attack power with 3 curved swords equipped + character skill cooldown ^3

This is a solid 8/10 unique god roll relic that I feel like just BARELY outclasses double balancers and Glass Necklace. Just the 2 character skill cooldown effects buffs your overall damage output by around 5% assuming your spamming restage off cooldown. And since I will be dual wielding curved swords, The 3rd curved sword I pickup will buff ALL damage by 20% (even if the passive is worthless, most red weapons can't compete with that value). This gives me a 25% bonus to ALL damage sources which is better than balancer relics buffing only physical weapon skills by ~22%. If I find a 3rd curved sword with a strong passive, then this relic is head and shoulders above both a balancers relic, and the glass necklace, and even if the 3rd curved sword has a useless passive, its still about as strong due to the damage buff applying to everything, being constant (unlike the glass necklace that can decay, which is notable during Night Lords who run away a lot COUGH COUCH CALIGO COUGH), and allowing he to have higher damage spikes with restage more frequently, and more frequent damage spikes which can save time when killing field bosses.

Depth Relic 1: Partial HP restoration ^1 + Improved affinity attack power ^1

Partial HP restoration is AMAZING with magma blade and Wing of Astel skills and is a must of curved sword builds IMO. I went with improved affinity attack power to boost the skills and elemental damage of the split scaling curved swords (magma blade is mostly physical and Wing of Astel is mostly elemental damage).

Depth Relic 2: Defeating Enemies Fills Art Guage ^1 + Physical attack ^3

2 of the Rare curved sword at pure physical damage, so I slotted in some phys attack up to help with this swords getting rolled, and to help with early game weapons since they will be mostly physical. The defeating enemies effect is also borderline mandatory to synergize with my second Normal relic with "Defeating enemies while art is active...". Let's me have my art at all times to trivialize several boss fights and let us crush field bosses much faster to farm for dormant powers.

Depth relic 3:

Dormant Curved Swords + Affinity Attack power ^1

Doormant curved swords are mandatory because duh. I Also got lucky and rolled "affinity attack power +1 on it which will benefit ant infused curved swords I roll, or the magma blade/wing of astel ash of wars.

Key Weapon Passives to Find: Successive Attacks Negate Damage, Improved Dash Attack, Improved Jump Attack, Improved Skill attack power, Improved attack power when wielding 2 weapons, Improved Melee attack power, Improved Physical Attack, Improved Affinity Attack Power, and Improved Attack Power/Damage Negation at Full HP (Partial Restoration + Magma lets u tank some attacks and heal back to full). As you can see there are MANY passives that this build can benefit from, so it is pretty hard to have RNG so bad that you end up being useless. Even if you don't find 3 curved swords (Which as yet to happen to me), U still have flexible damage buffs and a balance relic to bolster your DPS, which makes this relic setup very consistent at contributing to team DPS.

Key Dormant Powers to Look For: Physical Attack up, Affinity Attack Power up, Successive Attacks restore HP/FP, Stamina Buffs, HP Buffs, FP Buffs (Not super necessary), Crits Inflict Blood Loss (Good For Restage damage bursts and with Bleed Curved Swords), Blood loss in Vicinity Improves attack power (if I'm running a bleed build), Periodical Giant Glint blades (Benefit from my Affinity Attack bonuses and adds stance damage/restage damage).

This is by far my favorite duchess build, as the relic setup allows consistent solid damage no matter your curved sword RnG and there are many ways to play the build thanks to the flexibility in damage bonus provided by my relics, and the awesome set of curved swords you can find. I've done dash attack builds, jump attacks, ash of war spam, charged heavies (Wing of Astel) and rolling attack builds (duchess's excellent roll makes this viable on her), Status builds (bleed notably with scavengers curved swords) and a few others. Nox Flowing sword Ash of War and Wing of Astel charged Heavies give you solid mid range damage options too. Another nice bonus is that dual curved swords are great revival tools. 1 running L1 revives 1 bar instantly, and spamming dual wield attacks can quickly res teammates. Please let me know what you think of the relic choices and give any suggestions you may have. I can rotate my first depth relic for phys attack + 3 & partial Hp instead of affinity, but affinity just seemed nicer for bigger ash of war damage with the 2 best curved swords. Anyways, have a wonderful day! I look forward to this communities feedback.

Fist Undertaker & Great Hammer Undertaker Build Explanations

Hey Everyone, I have been playing nightreign since release, and when undertaker released, I knew Inhad found my new main. Her ability to buff stack is second to none, and I feel these builds take advantage of her unique traits. I want to review 2 of my favorite builds for her and see if my build theory is correct.

For the Fist build, I knew I wanted to maximize my DPs, but I opted out of "attack increase when landing final blow of chain attack" since fists primary combo takes to long to reliably setup, so I substituted a night invader relic. I feel like"phys attack buff when incant is active" is damn near mandatory on her. 20% attack increase for any buff incant is extremely strong, this relic also buffs fist attacks as a nice bonus. Make sure you check the shops. He often sells a Beast Seal that has physical attack up 8% and beastial vitality (which is one of the best buff effects you can get for undertaker only behind flame grant me strength and golden vow). For the depth relics I got lucky and rolled the Undertaker dex relic with dormant fists, so I slotted that in and equiped a "partial hp restoration" relic to help sustain.

For the great hammer build, I had 1 goal in mind. DAMAGE. Purple Great hammers are strength/faith weapons so they are perfect for the undertaker. Final hit of chain attack is much more consistent on dual wielded Great weapons since they usually have a 3 hit attack chain. I chose the chain attack relic over night invader for the great hammers, since it give roughly a 27% attack bonus, thats instantly available at the start of the run. Use her character skill, staggers, of general moveset knowledge to pick ur spots, and gain that damage. Then I slapped in her rememberance relics (they are busted). For my depth relics, I just wanted DAMAGE, dormant great hammers, and a bit of survivability. Partial Hp restoration is mandatory for my melee characters usually. The odd ball is the "improved attack power with 3 greathammers". I figure since I will have 2 already (I dual wield with this build) might as well try n find 1 with a good passive to get that 20% power buff. For dual wield builds, I feel like the "Improved attack power with 3 weapon" relic effect is S tier. It basically gives the 3rd weapon you find the effect of "Increased attack power by 20%" which very few weapon passives can compete with (even red weapons) so its been almost always worth it.

Here is how I buff stack when fighting bosses:

Cast incantation buff > Ultimate > Jump attack > Final blow of chain attack (Using trance to maintain Stamina) > Keep attacking till boss is atomized. The damage can get crazy I am open to any critiques or things I may be doing wrong. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Mage Duchess and Katana Duchess Builds.

Wanted some feed back on 2 of my favorite duchess builds.

For mage duchess I just decided to focus on general sorcery damage and magic attack power. Im still debating on the middle relic (I may want improved character skill attack power), but cariam sorcery is nice if I find slicer or adulas. For the deep relics I may want to add "Character skill grabts invulnerability" im not sure how strong that effect is, but I did stock up on it.

For the katana build I figured physical attack power would be the most consistent. Should I do infinity sttack power instead since I plan to spam ash of war and purple katans all do afinnity damage? I like the "defeating enemies while art is active" relic a lot. It lets u shred field bosses so you can keep up the pace of your run. You can melt the csstle boss and FRICKING

NUKE lake boss BY killing the nearby crabs in ur ult beforw you fight the boss. Duchess art also grants u a beefy damage window for your team, so u can spam big damage in a burst for restage to feast on. Her art also trivializes bosses that summom squishy mobs (Like Dukes dear Freya or Tibia Meriner).

Duchess is my favorite character to play (tied with revenant and undertaker). I might post some of my builds for them in the future.
