My Motorola Edge 50 Pro is absolute garbage. The G-series models work really well with Google Maps in my car (2018 model). The Edge 50 Pro keeps losing connection to the car right in the middle of navigation. Today it just crashed out of nowhere. How on earth can a navigation app cause the whole smartphone to crash? I kept driving and saw that the smartphone, while connected to the car, was stuck in a boot loop. I watched it for about five boat loops, then I unplugged the USB cable. Great navigation aid! Otherwise, the smartphone works reasonably well. After running for a while, it has a bit of trouble connecting to the internet. That’s when the tried-and-true method comes in handy: turn Airplane Mode on and then off again. Just like before. But that can’t really be state-of-the-art anymore, can it? OR CAN IT? Next time I shop, I'll try a different brand.
