Accra Asylum (Ghana) — Welcome to Ghanaian hell, where opponents enter confident and leave needing a therapist. Ghana may not have the flashiest profile compared with that legendary 2010 team, but don’t mistake that for weakness. These Black Stars are menacing—stout, destructive, and ugly to play against, perfectly happy to turn a match into a locked ward with shin guards. The defense is the backbone, with Derrick Luckassen in top form and even scoring against Croatia, while Marvin Senaya adds bite and structure. This one is wide open so it can be anyone’s guess. You could even put DR Congo in a semi. But for me I’m going with what Infantino wants cuz revenue: France vs Argentina. We got an epic final before and we wouldn’t be surprised if we get this final again. Good luck all 32 teams. Commence the hunger games.

Well. Matchday 3 did delivered in every way. Drama, tension and the Lolcows. Before we get to the nominees, let’s announce the winner of Matchday 2. The winner of Lolcow of the week-Matchday 2 is…… Türkiye? by a landslide? France Pierron was easily a prime Lolcow but you’re going with Türkiye? At least they scored a goal… on their 63rd shot. Anyway the nominees for Lolcow of the week Matchday 3 are:

Julian Nagelsmann - After winning the group after 2 games, Nagelsmann decided to bring all his starters for some stupid reason against an underwhelming Ecuador on the brink of elimination. Not only that, they played like sh#t and gifted Ecuador one of their biggest wins in their football history and qualifying to the groups. To makes mater worse, a few of their starters got injured and Ecuador becomes only the 3rd South American team to beat Germany (the other 2 were Brazil and Argentina). How the hell did you do that?

Norway - This is gonna be controversial so I need a consensus for this one. Before the match, Norway need a win to take the group and face Sweden. Then the manager decides to pull his players, including Haaland, to get rest before the knockouts. I get his decision. He needs his players fresh as a daisy for the knockouts. Although everyone were b#tchin on a storm an FIFA could lose $$$ and might fine Norway for that decision. Like I said, it was the right decision but Lolcow award needs a jury.

Marcelo Bielsa - This crazy b#stard gave one the biggest disasterpieces in Urugayan history. From drawing against both Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde who they were supposed to win, followed by his players protesting by leaving practice after he refused to change tactics, and lastly losing against Spain in a win or go home scenario in the most embarrasing way. To make matters worse for him he didn't call up Luis Suarez because he's old and can't fit the system. Understandable. But you call up a 40 year old Fernando Muslera who's in a putrid form as a goalkeeper? WTF was he thinking.

I’m planning to create a poll for World Cup lolcow of the week and I will need public concensus for this mess of a week. The nominees are:

Arda Güler - For chirping in the tunnel before the entering the pitch against Australia, claiming that they are far superior than them. Only for the Turks to get humiliated and played abismal on the pitch, looking like roasted turkeys smothered in Vegemite and losing 2-0. Did Real Madrid really corrupted him?

The Ecuadorian Fans - For not heeding the warning from the locals about the Rocky statue curse. Then 2 morons did it just because. One of them (a local from Loja) took responsibility and apologized but the other one who’s an influencer started it all and didn’t took accountability for it. Thanks to that, Ecuador loses 1-0 to Côte D’Ivoire. Way to go, dumb#ss. At least the kid from Loja took responsibility, what the hell is your excuse.

Roberto Martinez - For not only refusing to change his tactics against DR Congo but also refusing to sub out CR7 because of vibes. Then gift wrapped a free 1 point to DR Congo despite’s being the favorites and played like sh#t by having half the amount of xG than DR Congo. Belgium and Everton tried to warn you, Portugal.

Fox Sports - For keeping Alexi Lalas in the analyst commentary along with Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Zlatan may have an ego of the size of Texas but at least he knows how to back it up. But Lalas spews stupid sh#t that even both Zlatan and Titi want to throw him out of the studio. Your problem, Fox Sports.
