Help!

I got these babies about 5 days ago, and while I think they’re getting a pretty good life in my 500 gallon little pond , they’re not eating as far as I can see. Every morning I put them separated in these little bowls and feed them , so the food will be concentrated and easy to eat. The give them tiny pieces of lettuce , hatchling pellets , brine and dried worms.
They don’t seem to eat . I’m afraid to just put the food in the pond because I know the fish will just eat it up. What am I doing wrong ?

Not eating properly

I inherited a neglected tortoise. She is used to eating only wet foods like romaine , veggies and fruits. Now I’ve introduced hay and commercial turtle food and she won’t touch it. I cut the hay up so tiny and sprinkle it over her lettuce. She won’t eat it. She also won’t drink water . Help.

Slow down the reading

Hello , reading tutor here. I have a 13 year old dyslexic student who doesn’t seem to have been getting any help over the years.
How can I get her to slow her reading down? Any words she perceives she can’t read she just skips over them. She reads so fast I find it difficult to even track where she is .

Wonder

I’d like to know from the younger generation of tutors if what I observe in my students is the new norm and are my expectations of them to high.
I’m 65 years old and it would seem my standards are too high.
It seems to me my students are so used to working on computer apps to do their work , and writing half ass answers with no punctuation is acceptable to their teachers. They also can’t be bothered to read instructions or even the actual work and prefer to be spoon fed.
Is this becoming the new norm of the digital era ? Am I the one expecting outdated standards ?
