Hey yall, I just got my housing assignment of a small double in manzanita & that was what I wanted to avoid. I wanted a standard double at manzanita or San Raf, but was unable to. My concern is with a place that small, when I have certain mental health issues I will not be able to get away from like anything which is a need for me. I am trying to get the disabilities registered on their website but have yet to. Is there anything I can do at all to see if there is anyway to switch? I have no idea & am kinda freaking out a bit… (manzanita was my choice bc it had rainbow housing & I am NB so there wasn’t really any better choice for me)

I got an email yesterday saying that they would start giving out decisions starting today & going until September 1st: previously, they said they would be about by today… what happened? Is this normal? And why do they release decisions so close to the start of the year? (And when will we likely actually get decisions)

I am currently filling out my housing application, I just got past my LLC preference (Rainbow Housing for myself) and am currently filling out my room preference. As I clicked on Manzanita Village, I saw only the options for a single, a triple, and a small double. I would like to opt for a standard double for a few reasons (and I could most likely get my psychiatrist to sign off on the reasons if necessary) but it does not appear to be an option. Before that however, does anyone know why it would not be shown as an option because I really have nothing else I would want to opt for.

Hello! I am in coming first year unsure of how to find roommates in advance / where to find them. I have done part of the application on housing (everything prior to signing the contract & making a deposit).

I am a trans mtf, & will have been on HRT for over 8 months by the time I arrive, so it will be kinda awkward if any of my roommates care about gender… I would also like to be able to at least somewhat know the person(s) I will be dorming with prior to arriving.

Any ideas on how to find people, either Cal Poly official channels or elsewhere would be greatly appreciated!
