On the verge of depression I fear.

Long story short, last summer(2025) I started having awful pain attacks in my stomach, I was checked for heart attacks, and told it was just acid reflux and to up my ppi, I did this and it changed nothing, I had more attacks. Took 8 months for them to scan me and diagnose Gallstones. I was referred to a private hospital in May and when I saw my surgeon in August he said I’d have my surgery within 6-8 weeks, I hadn’t heard anything in September to I called and was told I’d be getting a call soon as I’d been waiting a while. I still hadn’t heard anything 2 days ago so called them and was told that they won’t be able to fit me in until after Christmas. My attacks are coming so much now. I’ve had 5 this week! I have no energy, I’m not eating properly, I’m sad all the time. My mum passed away in July and I’m at a point now where I think everything is just too much. I’m constantly in pain with attacks or just cos my body is sore from the attacks, I feel so weak and useless, I worry that soon my mental health is going to plummet. I have a great boyfriend who looks after me and loves me so much, I have 2 great kids at home who are helpful and considerate to everything that’s going on and part of me feels so ungrateful cos I have them and I love them so much but I’m just not in a good place right now. Sorry for the rant.

My arms are getting me down.

Hello. I’m 40, I’m 5’9 and I’m female. I’ve lost 38lb over the last 13 months by being in a calorie deficit. Ive been unwell for most of it so hadn’t been able to exercise. I have at least 28lb left to lose before I’m at a healthy bmi and if I want to get back to a weight I was happy at I’d need to lose another 8lb on top of that so a total of another 36lbs. This is what my arms have been left looking like. I started weight training a couple of times a week(2kg weights) and doing cardio a couple of times a week aswell. I’ve been doing that for a month and my weight loss has stopped. I hate my arms and I’m hoping that there are people that have had this happen during weight loss and have ended up with arms that look nice. As you can see my arms hang and the skin looks so bad. I don’t think it’s loose skin because when I pull the skin away from the fat it snaps right back, and under my arm is squishy and rounded. I want to be able to wear vest tops again and not hide my arms all the time. This really gets me down. I keep thinking if they look like this after losing 38lb, how awful will they look after I lose the last 28 or 36lb. I don’t seem to have any loose skin yet anywhere, I have wobbly areas but nowhere where the skin pulls away and doesn’t snap back so I’m hoping this is also a positive sign in general. Thanks in advance for any advice/ help/ hope <3
