Week 2 of the new tank

Stocking list as follows:

-10 Buenos Aries Tetra

-1 Yellow lab

-1 strawberry peacock

- 2 african cichlid

-1 golden albino compressicep

So far all tank mates show no signs of bullying. Was definitely worried about the compressicep but he actually spends alot of time peacefully schooling with the tetras. We will see how he ends up as he gains size with his tank mates. He has more energy than the other cichlids for sure. But all in all, everyone definitely has their own space and seems to be getting along well.

Snails with african cichlids?

Has anyone ever had nerite or Malaysian trumpet snails with their cichlids before? Wondering if they would be a beneficial add to the tank or not.

Am I ready for cichlids?

Just finally got the Fluval FX4 put in the tank and it's amazing. No livestock has been placed yet. I feel like I'm ready to start stocking this with cichlids. Any concerns?

Is the structure fine for cichlids?

Never had cichlids. Getting a bigger canister filter before placing. Should I add more plants or is this fine/ideal?

Enough filtration for cichlids?

I'm looking to get a cichlid tank started in my 55 gal. I would like to have high numbers of krebensis and variety of rams. Over time I plan to add other community fish as well. I currently have HOB 75 gal. Filter and a 40 gal. On the other side. Would one wavemaker be enough for the tank or should I do two? Also I have lots of rock that will be added, this is not how the tank will be before I introduce fish. Also going to try for as much anacharis as I can in between rocks to help with my nitrate levels. All of this is long term and rock, plants and water will be well established before I even add my first fish.
