PC shuts down instantly while playing video games (Specs attached) – Need help troubleshooting!
Hi everyone,
i'm having a frustrating issue where my PC instantly shuts down (like a sudden power cut) whenever I try to play games. It runs completely fine when I'm just browsing the web or working on the desktop, but within minutes of launching a game, the fans start spinning like crazy (very loud) and then the PC completely turns off.
I have attached a screenshot of my current system specs
* **The issue started recently;** after I had to replace my old motherboard. My previous motherboard was a higher-end model, but after it died, I replaced it with this entry-level: **ASUS PRIME H510M-K R2.0**.
* I'm running an **Intel Core i7-10700F**, and it boosts up to **4600 MHz**.
* I am very confident about the cooler installation and thermal paste application, so I don't think it's a simple loose cooler issue.
Could this entry-level H510M motherboard be struggling with the VRM power delivery/voltages when the i7-10700F boosts during gaming, causing the shutdown?
