Distancing herself from the dream academy drama?

I'm really curious what you guys think, but after seeing her open for Demi Lovato I've been wondering if some of the choices made for the setlist of 'it's not that deep' were made to avoid introducing new people to the hate she got from dream academy?

I noticed when she performed finally apologizing she didn't do the second verse, where she sings "Sorry that my friends are all still friends with me" and instead only sings the parts that are more generally about being independent and not being controlled by the industry.

Additionally she didn't perform machine girl at all, despite it being one of her most streamed songs and promoted as a single when she released her EP. It was her only released song that she skipped, and is the most direct about her being perceived as a mean girl and the hate she received.

I think it's probably a smart move for her to do this honestly, as it does prevent new potential fans from immediately judging her for resolved interpersonal drama from years ago, but it would have been nice to see her perform machine girl as it's a great song!
