KomaKeep upddddddd - also made a community so its easier for yall to see what changed.
Hello Fellow Anime Watchers. For those who seen my posts you would know that I am the developer of KomaKeep. And for those you don't, Hi, I'm the developer of KomaKeep.
Non Dev stuff:
- New Community to talk about anime and track the updates of the site at r/KomaKeep
- If you have anime anime related projects that you created, feel free to post em. Please add the appropriate tab tho.
Dev Stuff:
- Manga mode hides the Schedule tab
- Manga homepage now shows upcoming chapter releases
- Homepage layout cleaned up and reordered
- Recommendations page — suggests anime based on your list, not just what's trending (in progress, comin soon)
- Weekly schedule got a visual rework, looks much better
- Hovering any card now shows a quick info popup
- bug fixes 😭
Some of yall been asking me why should you use this tracker instead of other ones out there like Anilist or MAL, and here are some reasons:
- 285k+ titles — pulls from multiple places combined, so way less "not found" on obscure stuff
- No search cap — AniList cuts off at 5,000 results for manga, KomaKeep doesn't
- MAL scores + AniList data on the same page — you don't have to tab between sites
- Two-way MAL & Anilist sync — import from MAL, push back to MAL, switch over in 2 minutes
- Manga and anime in one place with separate dedicated modes
- Fast and clean — no ads cluttering every inch of the page, no 2008 UI
So here are some reasons, however, it is built so that your list seamless transfers between the 2 big platforms lol. Thank you for reading this long ass post. 🙏

KomaKeep Updd - it was a hard one...
For those that are new, I have created a site called KomaKeep to help create a place to track both Manga and Anime all in once place with all the latest titles and 300k+ titles.
Here are some updates:
- More export options instead of just JSON (Text, MAL, XML added)
- Some minor UI fixes (They are always apparent... sighhh)
- Expanded catalog with a 18+ toggle in your profile (for yk... those titles)
Major change:
I've been debating, but hosting this site isn't free. So to help support, I unfortunately had to include ads... BUT they are very non-intrusive. Its like a banner per page so it would be amazing if you would allow these ads to show (I would be very thankful) 🙏 🙏
The ads with the 18+ filter toggled on will show yk adult stuff
The ads with the 18+ filter toggled off will show non-adult stuff (I tried my best for non nsfw adds, however some may slip through so I apologize 🙏 )
As always thank you for visiting and using the app and any feedback is always appreciated :D.

KomaKeep Quite a big upd.
So if you have read any of my previous posts, you'll know that I provide updates on the KomaKeep site. (Live at ani-dex.org )
Mobile redesign
The old layout was cramped, and the tiles were too big. Rebuilt it with smaller poster cards, tighter spacing, and a proper docked bottom nav bar (was floating before, which annoyed everyone including me). The watchlist now shows horizontal progress cards — cover thumbnail, title, and an episode/chapter progress bar — instead of a grid that ate half your screen.
Expanded search filters
You can now filter by:
- Genre (multi-select)
- Format (TV / Movie / OVA / ONA / Manga / Novel / etc.)
- Status (Releasing / Finished / Hiatus / Upcoming / Cancelled)
- Release year (multi-select)
- Min score (8+, 7+, etc.)
- Episode / chapter length (short / medium / long)
All filters work for both anime and manga.
"Surprise Me" button
Hit it and the app picks something random weighted toward your top genres. If nothing matches, it loosens the filter. Good for when you want to watch something but can't decide.
UI Fixes
Expanded catelog of over 170k+ titles.
MAL/Anilist Sync
Fixed so that you can seamless sync your collection to MAL/Anilist. (I pray this works it was a pain to fix)
And as always feedback is very much appreciated :D.
KomaKeep update — faster search, manga chapter tracking, AniList sync, and more
Been working on some fixes and new stuff for Komakeep (located at ani-dex.org ) . Here are the new things this release:
Faster anime search (no more AniList rate limits)
Anime search and browse now runs off a local catalog of 20,000+ titles instead of hitting AniList on every keystroke. Results are instant and don't care how many tabs you have open.
Manga chapter tracker
You can now log and track manga chapters alongside anime episodes — same interface, same lists.
AniList sync
OAuth-based sync with AniList so you can pull in your existing list and keep it updated without manually re-entering everything.
Inbox improvements
Delete individual notifications and view your full inbox — the previous version had neither.
Desktop side-rail
The nav rail on desktop now auto-hides to give more screen real estate. There's also an accessibility setting to keep it always visible if you prefer that.
Thank you all for those who use the site 🙏
As always the link to the site is ani-dex.org
It is completely free to use and right now there are absolutely no ads. (There might be some ads in the future so watch out, but you can also use an adblocker lol)
And as always, this is strictly a tracker for anime/manga and feedback and bugs that get dmed or posted in the comments are very much appreciated. :]
Additional Features for KomaKeep
I have received some feedback and also will be continue implementing some new features for KomaKeep in the following days/week.
These changes that come include:
- Different export options XML, JSON, text
- Google sheets import (still working on it) May cost the user like a dollar or so.
- The ability to track individual episodes (individual chapters for certain manga will come soon)
- Easy episode tracking, especially for series like one piece, you don't have to manually click each individual episode. Clicking, for example, 940, will check all previous episodes
- A count-down on the detail's page of an anime so that you never miss a new drop (Assuming the episode isn't delayed ofc)
- Expanding the library with the spicy stuff. This is toggleable and can be disabled. Will not be on by default. (Ik u gooners are gonna be hyped)
- An optional donation (It's not free running this stuff and I don't wanna charge for people using it) please only use if you won't be financially cripple and homeless after donating (lol). All support is appreciated and thank you :].
- UI/UX fixes
- Bug fixes
- Performance Upgrades
If anyone's got any feedback and suggestions, as always, please let me know. I am always eager to listen and improve this project for users 👍
As always the link to try it out yourself is ani-dex.org and thank you for reading the post and trying it out if u do :]
How can I test out app's that I want to publish to the app store without a mac?
So I'm building this app that I want to put onto the app store, but I have no way of testing it. I tried use expo, but the app and the current upd's SDK version don't match. Is there any simple ways that can be utilized to test? I don't have a mac btw. Thank you.
AniDex: Now KomaKeep (A little long of a read lol)
Alright so I just finished up the main things for anidex, now it's called KomaKeep. The link is ani-dex.org (I already bought the domain so imma keep it lol)
THIS IS STRICTLY A TRACKER. I am not going to delve into pirating for the public because of personal reasons. So, if you thought this was a pirating site, I am very sorry lol. But for manga, there are links to sites where you could potentially read them. If you need sites, I will include a hidden link to a database to watch your anime. (Or maybe I won't, I don't want those sites to go down :] )
As of right now, here are the features:
- A streamlined UI, which many are pretty familiar with navigating if you have used Aniwatch or Hianime. It has a similar feel, but also with some elements I thought would look good.
- Easy imports from other sites via MAL or JSON, Google sheets is still a work in progress but just be wary it may cost a couple dollars depending on how vast the list is.
- Schedules for series releases
- Cloud syncing with your google account.
- Notifications (hopefully they work lol)
- Chapters for manga's if MU database has them.
New features coming soon and hopefully I get onto google play and app store 🙏
There will be bugs so please be patient. If you can, tell me about it and post a screenshot if possible in this thread. I will try to fix asap.
AniDex suggestions
As I have made in a previous post, I am currently working on AniDex, a singular platform for all your anime, manhwa, manga, etc tracking needs. Why? Because I wanted something fresh, simple, and works/looks good. I have built the website rn and is in testing, however, I want some input. What are some features that you would like to see? I do wanna refrain from user posts and discussion for now, but what are some features yall think would be beneficial?
I have most of the core features already.
- Good lookin UI
- Personalized recs (could make em better)
- A pretty streamlined user experience (from my testing lol)
- import/export from mal and json files
Thanks for da inputs :]
I got tired of using different apps for anime, manga, and manhwa, so I built a streamlined, all-in-one tracker.
I love the massive databases out there, but hopping between different sites to track my seasonal anime, traditional manga, and weekly manhwa was driving me crazy. Plus, mobile UIs for the big trackers have gotten pretty bloated lately.
And with all these websites going down, my watch history is quite literally becoming a big mess lol.
So, I started building AniDex to fix this. My goal was to make something that just does it job and has a gives a streamlined and pleasant experience lol.
Here is why I think you might like it:
- Everything under one roof: Anime, manga, and manhwa track seamlessly in the same place.
- Zero-friction UI: No cluttered menus or heavy social feeds. Just a clean, modern interface focused entirely on updating your progress instantly.
- Effortless importing: You don't have to start from scratch. You can import your massive lists from MAL or AniList. (Importing from google sheets bc, yes i know some people use a massive google sheet will be a feature that will be added.
I’m just a solo dev trying to build the app I always wished existed.
If you read and watch across different platforms, I'd be honored if you gave it a try. I'm actively working on updates and would love some brutally honest feedback on what to add or fix next!
I will upd this post with the link to the website version once it's released :D.
Thx for reading this long ass post btw lol.
