Ahead of the new season of Koffee With Karan, I keep thinking about this how this has GOT to be one of the most painfully cringe moments in the shows history. Varun really sat there with his chest out and confidently declared that he had “no flops”, basically suggesting he was ahead of Ranbir and Ranveer. Varun did have a lot of successful films but many of them were not clean hits and none of them were are the level of hits that Ranbir or Ranveer saw at that time. Let’s not even get into acting talent, based on acting in their debuts alone Ranbir and Ranveer were always superior. Varun really thought he ate.

The best part about this moment - is that Varun’s next release was Kalank produced by Karan Johar. Talk both instant karma. KJo really sat there listening to Varun brag about his spotless box-office record knowing he was about to personally hand him a huge flop, that led to a whole trail of other flops.

So, the plan was to have Ranbir as the villain, with Lakshya and Raghav as the new cops. The female lead was never finalized, although Kriti’s name came up a lot.

From what I’ve heard, the reports about Ranbir rejecting the project are actually true. He wasn’t convinced by the story and decided not to do it. There’s also a bit of bad blood between RK-Alia and YRF with whatever happened with Alpha and Shamshera so now he’s very hesitant to work with YRF again.

YRF then explored Ranveer as an option, but he wasn’t interested either. It was quite a strong no. For a bit they even tried to talk to Hrithik about a potential reboot his character from Dhoom 2 but just like Ranbir, he doesn’t have much confidence in YRF either and also said no.

YRF tried to pivot by undergoing a script rewrite and going with a much younger actor instead. The problem with that is other than Ahaan Pandey, they can’t mount the project on anyone. The complication with that also is that YRF already has Ahaan and Sharvari doing another YRF action film, so there’s some concern about having two films in a similar space; at the same time there are no other youth faces that can step in.

As of right now the film is not happening and put on the back burner.

Veteran actor Raza Murad has criticised the absence of Bollywood's leading stars from the funeral of actor Mushtaq Khan, who died on September 24. Khan's last rites were conducted on September 25 in the presence of several colleagues and members of the film fraternity.

In a video message, Raza expressed disappointment that none of the major stars came to pay their final respects to Khan, who spent nearly five decades working in the Hindi film industry.

"Dukh ki baat yeh hai ki aise mauke par koi bhi star, jise hum star kehte hain, unhe apna aakhiri salaam pesh karne nahi aaya. Jabki unke bahut saare colleagues, actors, sab aaye."

Raza then questioned the priorities of celebrities, contrasting their participation in high-profile social events with their absence from Khan's funeral.
"Haan, agar kisi industrialist ke bete ki shaadi hoti, toh ye stars na sirf wahan shaamil hote, balki wahan mehmaanon ki seva waiter ki tarah bhi karte."
He continued, "Ya jab koi political party apni laathi dikhaati hai, toh ye bheegi billi ki tarah wahan pahunch jaate hain. Lekin us shakhs ki funeral mein shaamil nahi hue, jisne is film industry ko apne 50 saal diye, apni poori zindagi de di. Aur aap uske liye 50 minute bhi nahi nikaal sake."

The actor also spoke about the fleeting nature of fame and urged people in the industry to remember that their actions and conduct are ultimately what remain.

"Yeh mat bhooliye ki aaj aapka yeh roshan chehra hai, kal yeh bhi marne wala hai. Kal yeh andhere mein doob jayega. Agar koi cheez aapke kaam aayegi, toh aapka achha bartav, aapke karm kaam aayenge. Aur kuch nahi aayega."

Praising Khan's professional journey, Raza said the late actor had established himself through his work and did not depend on personal favours to build his career.

"Mushtaq Khan ne apna bahut bada naam banaya. Unhone kabhi kisi ko gumrah nahi kiya, na kabhi kisi ki khushamad ki. Woh sirf apne kaam ke dum par yahan tak pahunche."

The real killer for the film was War 2 as the film was made alongside War 2 and it was assumed that War 2 would be a huge It's but it failed badly.  If War 2 had done as expected then this film would have been a different proposition as the initial weekend business would have been a lot higher.  The first week collections of Alpha are as follows.

I really and truly genuinely want to like Kiara, but the more I think about her filmography, the more I feel like there's a missing piece to her. In hindsight, I thought Lust Stories proved she was good...but looking back, I'm not sure it was her performance that stood out as much as the writing and concept itself...

Kabir Singh was Shahid's film. Good Newwz., she was fine I guess, but hardly the standout performer. Films like Guilty and Indoo Ki Jawani were supposed to be opportunities to prove she could carry a project, and neither accomplished that.

In Shershaah and Satyaprem Ki Katha, she was good but, yet something felt off. Game Changer did nothing for her career, and she also had that one song where she was in that DP from Om Shanti Om type of get-up and she couldn't pull that off either. War 2 was awful and her bikini shot did nothing for her or the audiences. Even in other films like Jug Jug Jeeyo, she did well...but I can't remember anything about her from the film. Even when she does well....she doesn't seem to create any real impact or memorability; her performances don't stay with you and she is quite forgettable.

Now with Toxic seems to be taking her in a bolder direction, but even that isn't landing well and just feels forced and some even find it vulgar. I recently saw some older movies with Bipasha where would have such scenes, and wow, there was a real impact and she pulled it off quite well.

I think she's a decent actress but I do think her moment is over, and she can't be a top actress. there was a certain window of time where she would need to make that move and it just hasn't happened yet....she seems to always be missing the mark on a regular basis.

I’ve heard this from a few different insiders now, and it looks like what some users on Reddit predicted has once again turned out to be true… a smear campaign against Shraddha and her upcoming film Eetha is likely to kick off soon.

Even though Shraddha has stayed low-key since Stree 2, she still seems to make a lot of people uneasy, and she has quite the list of haters. Her box office pull is already stronger than many expected, and her ground-level popularity is undeniable. She is currently at a very important phase in her career, where if everything goes right, she could skyrocket further. This time, things might be different as a certain nepo gang no longer holds the power they once had.

Eetha could end up being a career-defining film and a lot of other projects depend on it because there are reportedly several projects waiting in the wings, depending on how this one performs. Including many female-led films and I’ve also heard she’s said yes to a film with Vicky Kaushal. She was also supposed to do the next Krish with Hrithik but with YRF’s involvement it seems unlikely now.

Anyway a lot is riding on Eetha, which is exactly why no one should be surprised if every PR tactic, negative narrative and online hate campaign gets thrown at it in the lead-up to release.

I love Hrithik, but someone please tell me if this is intentional because it feels like we’re all watching accidental comedy and pretending it’s not happening. No seriously….why does it look like Hrithik is wearing Jaadoo’s costume? I can’t unsee it now.

Ummm.. The caption LITERALLY starts by telling us how rich the family is. If kindness is the point, why does the net worth matter at all? Why is that even mentioned ?

Please stop. Is it just me, but does anyone else find these posts weird? If a non-famous person stopped and interacted with an underprivileged child…nobody would make an edit, add emotional music, and write essays about their “golden heart” and make an entire post about it. But when a so called “wealthy celebrity” does the exact same thing, suddenly it’s proof that “real wealth is kindness.” Also, did they need to record this?

Stop trying to fool the audiences with such fake and orchestrated PR.

Katrina Kaif honestly should’ve headlined a full-fledged female action franchise years ago. We got glimpses of what she was capable of in the Tiger films, and every time she was on screen, she looked completely believable in that space. The thing about action stars is that it’s not always about delivering the most layered performance. A lot of it comes down to physicality, screen presence, aura, confidence, and whether the audience believes you as someone who can do action.

Katrina had all of that. The body, the athleticism, the glamour, the intensity, and the larger-than-life presence that action cinema demands. I know she’s not the bestest actress BUT…the type of acting that she does, would actually work in this space.

It’s kind of surprising that Bollywood never built a proper female-led action series with her at her peak. If the industry had backed her with the right scripts and scale, she could’ve easily become the face of a successful action franchise. She even had a a strong chokehold on the Box Office at one point.

It feels like such a missed opportunity.

If you rewind back to 2018, Janhvi’s debut was basically a role served on a silver platter. The kind of launch that should’ve done for her what Saiyaara has done for Aneet. It didn’t. Then came Gunjan Saxena, Roohi, Good Luck Jerry, and Mili. All super strong roles. Yet none of them created any impact. She went nowhere.

The 9 lives ran out. Around 2021–2022, there seemed to be a noticeable shift in strategy. The focus gradually moved away from proving herself as a performer and more towards reducing the length of her clothes. Devara, Sunny Sanski Ki Whatever Kumari, Param Sundari, and now Peddi (with a random Bawaal and Mr and Mrs Maahi thrown in)

All of this hasn’t happened overnight. This is the inevitable result of an actor whose performances don’t land, leading to a pivot toward a different kind of “visibility.” However that ain’t working either. Even though she tried to pull out of Peddi promotions once she saw the film, it was too late.

Her PR is now trying to twist this whole thing to once again, victimize her, and I can’t keep up with her new PR leaking chats that nobody cares about. In 2026 - these tricks don’t work. You can’t get ahead by forcing the sympathy card.

I feel like the damage is done and basically in a nutshell:

It’s been almost 10 years.
Nothing has worked.
Literally nothing
And we’re tired.
The moment is over.

Sorry but Glow & Lovely is still Fair & Lovely. The company rebranded after years of backlash over promoting fairness and lighter skin as beauty ideals, but changing the name doesn’t erase the history. Yes, the formula has evolved, but it’s all just better marketing.

Everyone I know who buys it is buying it for the same reason people bought Fair & Lovely: to look fairer or lighter. The consumer perception and intended outcome haven’t really changed.

Which is why it’s disappointing to see Tripti Dimri endorsing it. Whether the branding says “fairness” or “glow,” the association is still there for many people. Celebrities have a choice in what they promote, and given the conversation around colorism in South Asia, I expected better from her

At this point he’s asking to be trolled. And it doesn’t help that Ananya’s daddy is doing the talking this time. Why make such statements? Everyone needs to invest in better PR.

I heard this update from someone who is working on the sets of Mom 2 - and it turns out the earlier tea that was shared on Reddit is actually true, the makers of Mom 2 are quite frustrated with the non-performance of the daughter of the lead of Mom 1. The one and only - Khushi Kapoor.

The issue is not money, since Daddy Producer is throwing money at the project but the director, who is also the writer, is quite annoyed at how much effort he has to put into extracting nothing out of her. Apparently the amount of retakes she gets is “beyond acceptable” and is causing delays to the filming process and is irritating her costars, despite her getting extra time to rehearse. Apparently she can’t even remember her lines, so forget about delivering them. The team has gone back to the drawing board to re-write her entire character, so that it is closer to the real personality of Khushi (aka the Ananya Pandey strategy)

Some of the crew members have expressed how such an opportunity has come her way too easily and too soon in her career. Karishma Tanna is also sleep walking through the project and just wants to get paid.

The film is likely get dumped on OTT given the chaos.

So…. Tiger's sister recently said he's so disciplined that he won't even smell birthday cake, meanwhile:

Genuinely curious what the point of these celebrity diet stories is. Is the goal just to push the "ultra-disciplined fitness icon" image regardless of whether it contradicts things he's said himself? Not sure what the point is, or how this helps him at all?

This story has quite the character arc, even more so than most characters he’s played.

In an interview with ANI, Abhijeet reacted to the recreated version of his iconic 1999 track Chunnari Chunnari in Varun Dhawan's upcoming film. The original singer of the chartbuster from Biwi No. 1, starring Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Sushmita Sen, voiced his disappointment over the recreated version.

“Yeh gaana Salman ki life ka biggest song tha. Jab aayi thi, tab se ab tak trending hai. Salman Khan ki life ka sabse bada hit hai Chunnari Chunnari. Uss waqt ek rising star tha, not a superstar. (This was the biggest song of Salman Khan. Since it came out, the song has been trending to date),” Abhijeet said.

Reacting to the recreated version of the song, Abhijeet called out Varun for doing "second-hand" films. The actor (Varun Dhawan) has only done second-hand films, especially when his father (David Dhawan) directed the original films. He also uses the same songs that were once a hit. Varun Dhawan iss gaane se Salman Khan nahi ban sakta (Varun Dhawan can't become Salman Khan by doing my songs). There is a big difference between Salman Khan and Varun Dhawan," he added.

Reacting to the latest recreation of Chunnari Chunnari, Abhijeet quipped that the song sounded more like a “bhajan”, which was originally a romantic track.

Abhijeet also revealed that the makers of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai never reached out to him before recreating his hit song. He said that if they had approached him for the remake, he would still rethink before doing it. Now, he is happy that he didn't do the song because it would have've degraded.

It’s ironic that FWICE is taking such an aggressive stand against Ranveer over the Don 3 situation, a situation that pales in comparison to whatever Sajid Khan did a few years ago; this is the very same organization that quietly lifted the ban on Sajid Khan (which only lasted a year) a few years ago, and justified his image being white-washed on Big Boss, which today has led him back to directing a film where he will launch Govinda’s son. So basically nothing happened.

A man accused by multiple women, as part of the MeToo movement ….… ultimately faced no real industry consequences and has now smoothly returned to directing as if nothing ever happened.

The contrast is hard to ignore. It seriously makes you question the consistency, integrity, and actual values of the organization. Slow claps.
