Finally Joined the Club + After Market Running Boards Recommendation
I've been watching dealerships in my area for a while, waiting for the model and the options I've been looking for and finally ran across one. Carpathian Gray with the P4oo motor that I have wanted + a few of the options that were on my list (Second Row Captains Chairs, HUD and ClearSight Rear View Mirror). I've been driving a 2019 Discovery and even though this one weighs a bunch more, the handling is smoother and the drive is quieter. And it feels more responsive. I've driven it about two weeks and love it!
It did not come with running boards / side steps. $2k at the dealer is frankly not obscene, but I really did not like the OEM style. There are not a lot of choices, but I found the Romik REC-B Running Boards (second picture). Installed by an aftermarket dealer for $1270 + tax. They are pretty solid and I think worked out well. Just in case anyone is looking for options!!
