I’m newish to New Orleans and just learned about Voodoo Authentica. Id love to learn more but is this for everyone? I want to be respectful culturally so I wasn’t sure if this is open to everyone or if I should skip this as it’s not my heritage.
I’m newish to New Orleans, 50yo female thinking about joining a Krewe to meet people. There are so many! For those of you in a Krewe, which one(s) did you join and why?
I recently ordered a couch on Joybird and was told it would be delivered at the end of August. It has been sent to the delivery company and they are now telling me it’s going to be at least another six weeks before they can deliver it. This is not the timeline I was told and I am really upset. Has this happened to anyone else?
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a personal shopper, but I just started a new job where I’ll be traveling and meeting with some fairly wealthy people. I need to update my wardrobe game and I’m horrible at picking out clothes. Where can I go to get help putting together nicer outfits? I don’t have an unlimited budget so if we can keep things realistic, that would be great too.
I just moved into a "3 bedroom" shotgun and the back two rooms are much warmer than the rest of the house. It's 80 in the back bedroom right now and I have the AC set 73. It's central air. I know this week has been particularly hot but is this normal? The house has a total of 6 rooms and the first 3 are just fine. The two back bedrooms and bathroom are just really warm.
I'm looking at a rental at Carondelet and Felicity, just one block from St. Charles. I know that area starts to get a bit shady, but as a single female looking for thoughts?
