Being Mod of a sub has definitely helped, as I like to keep a close eye on things (obviously).

So I replaced my fuel filter this morning on my 89 Digi II 1.8 8V. Well I just took a test drive, and it ran great. For five minutes. Then I started hearing the fuel pump screaming and barely made it home because I was having a lot of trouble accelerating.

I attached a video (turn sound on) so you guys could hear it.

Obviously, the next step would be to replace the pump, but what I'm trying to figure out is exactly what happened and why.

Thoughts?

So years ago when I wasn't thinking, I used Nightshades spray tint for my front turn signals. There has never been (that I know of) proper smoked lenses available that fit U.S. small bumper Jettas. Smoked side markers & tail lights were readily available back in the day, but not the front signals.

Anyway, what I did all those years ago looks great, but my signals aren't visible during the day because the lenses are too dark.

So before I get a ticket or someone hits me because they can't tell I'm turning, I need to find the original orange lenses.

I've looked everywhere that I can think of. Anyone have a pair laying around or know where I can get them?

The install was a bit more hassle than anticipated, but the chip is in! I've noticed an improvement in throttle response and acceleration; not life-changing by any stretch, but noticeable nonetheless.

The only issue I'm having post install is a bit of spark knock on acceleration. I'll dig into that over the next few days.

All I know is I'm glad (for about the hundredth time) that I have a Bentley manual. For anyone that owns a Mk2 Golf/Jetta, it's literally priceless.
